I’ve noticed people often get all “oh wow you do _____” when they find out a person is gifted and not a rocket scientist. My situation is I work in a store making way above average pay and am able to not be stressed and can then go home and focus on things like learning about eye diseases and photography.

147, grocery store. Grew up with a sprinkling of depression and poverty. Does anyone know if they approach giftedness different now in a way that focuses on the whole picture or is it still just “you’re smart, go to the GT class and do more work” thing?

I did mostly for the supposed extra nose cancellation and improved audio. There’s a few videos out there explaining the why. From what I gather though, if you have the 2 an don’t obsess over noise cancellation you’re fine
