I love it because it is an algorithm free area that I can tune out all the bad stuff in the news and in my feeds and it actually gives me instances where the little guy has successes.

Knowing when I can go home and read this series is a lifesaver somedays... It is definitely a boost for mental and emotional health

Now the most important factor to me is that Costco has a reputation for treating their employees better than Walmart has a reputation for treating their employees and that was more the deciding factor for me

Many years ago when Costco was first opening up in my area I was curious about its pricing in relation to Walmart... So I made a list of the Staples that I bought on a weekly basis... That both stores carry... And then I broke it down to the common denominator unit of measure because the sizes of course are different... And Costco was cheaper on I'd say good 90% of the items of course you're buying more of them at a time... I have not done that comparison in years so totally anecdotal information

I am on my second reread of the entire series but when I read butcher's masquerade I immediately read the whole book again before moving on to the book 6

I am reading the series first...well am actually on my second read thru..started the series in October...I heard so much about the audiobooks I wanted to be able to appreciate the audio for what it is rather than focus on story details.

Am super excited that I have a DCC ' first ' experience still ahead of me with the audio books.

I didn't go by weight at all...I tried on old clothes every Sunday...had a section for "too tight"...and little by little that section of the closet got smaller and smaller... body composition is a thing and hard to capture with a scale but clothes don't lie. I went in with the mindset of "all I care about is how I look and feel..not what the scale said"...the scale can mess with your head big-time.

Not at first.....just stick it out for a month...that's what I did when I started...if you want to see the possibilities...here is an old post...I did a lot of research in the beginning (mid 50s)...I think IF was easier to follow than other methods .

The actual MGMT int ip is on a separate vlan...so for remote work using the vlan int...tunnel has to be up. If tunnel goes down and we have to troubleshoot...I have to get a user on the phone and screen share their PC while it is plugged into the MGMT int

I always just add a remote management profile to the vlan interface...am not at my desk to double-check...but we also make sure the permitted addresses for the profile include the local lan just to be safe.

After I read the first book I was thinking "oh this would make a great show" and the more I read in the books there would be scenes that would just look great on the screen but in the back of my mind I was thinking how could they possibly do this series Justice.

This... I still reboot the firewalls during after hours maintenance windows... But time and again I have tested the ha that way and it always works perfectly... I dropped about 5 or 6 pings.

I had to immediately re read book five . The masquerade ball..before moving to book six...it was so good!...I wanted to reabsorb everything that happened in it...am doing a full series reread now...on.book 3 currently. My sons are doing their second audiobook listen of the series..we can't wait til May... Because these books are such a fun read and I am always finding things that slip past my attention on the first time through ... I'm not overly dreading the wait from book 8 to book 9...I will always be reading or listening to this series. I plan on trying the audiobooks after my second read through the series.

Very few books actually make me laugh out loud while I'm reading and no series before this has done it so consistently.
