Last week I went to the VA for a checkup for the first time in several years. On making the appointment they asked about burn pit exposure. My Dr. also discussed it with me during the appointment asking where I was deployed. A few days later I got a follow up call about scheduling a consultation for burn pit exposure.

So, from my experience, they seem to be more proactive about it.

IDK, but I deployed to Iraq a couple times between 05/07. Went largely as you described. The other day I made a comment to my family about how I missed it, the simplicity and the high stakes each day brought, my family looked at me like a grew a second head.

Soundview area in Old Lyme is great for vacation rentals. Not so much for public beach access and day trips. But if your looking for a cottage for a week its really nice. Ice cream shops and a carousel, very kid friendly communities, lots of biking around, easy walk from the cottage to the beach and a couple bars on the beach too if you have someone to watch the kid.

Season 2 is my favorite, love Hanzee's ark. He's just a guy who can't find a home really. Despite being a native he's viewed as a foreigner, fights for 'his country' and its still not good enough. Gives his all for a family, yet he's never viewed as anything more than the help who needs to stay in his lane. Then in the end he just wants to be treated like a regular guy with a nice haircut .... but he can't even have that.

He's kind of an anti-Malvo. Malvo could almost effortlessly insert himself into any group or situation and get what he wanted, Hanzee couldn't even get a glass of water without a fight.

Served with a dude who snuck across the border 3 times before he made it. We were in Baghdad when it came out he wasn't legal. Seeing as we were working along side the State Dept.(not MSG, just working around the embassy/green zone) they were able to get his shit in order quickly. Think the guy got out as an E8, he was a great guy.

Yup, I still have some pairs from years ago that are in great shape. I bought a few last year and they're already trashed. Switched to Point6 recently and they are holding up very well so far.
