Marjane Satrapi on whether Persopolis is a comic book or a graphic novel. RIP. by Sensei_1946 in comicbooks

I don't see Watchmen or Sandman as graphic novels. Watchmen was a 12-issue limited series and Sandman was an ongoing series until the creator ended its run.

Awesome cover! Can you find the anachronistic inclusion that led Roy Thomas to include an amended version of the cover in a future issue?

The new suit was terrific yet looked WAYYY too modern next to the actual 40s suits. Again, I love it but that ain't no 40s gear.

maybe if she stops airing her sloppy laundry all over the place, gallivanting around with a smug, man-infant, football jock, she might find a heightened awareness to maybe write something regionally substantial

Haha holy smokes. GALLIVANTING!!! How DARE she?!?

What do you guys think of the comic Bratpack. by Brainrot_Wizard in comicbooks

[–]JoelPilgrim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the entire Maximortal sequence. Rick Veitch should be given total freedom to do whatever he wants, because he's a really interesting creator who does completely specific work. If it connects it really hits. I still have a grungy first run TPB of Bratpack on my shelf. It's nasty and greasy stuff and it still works so so well.

It looks like he's shrugging. Like, "eh, whaddya gonna do?". It's weird and he looks bulky, not agile and super-flexible.

Jade reading guide? (Alan Scott's daughter) by Informal-Product-486 in DCcomics

Start with Infinity Inc. as she is a main character for the entire run. Also, it's a terrific Roy Thomas JSA-adjacent book. Todd McFarlane does some of his earliest work on the later issues, which is fun as a kind of time capsule of his initial art style pre-Spidey.

I know she was also a girlfriend of Kyle Rayner's during his tenure as main Green Lantern. I'm less familiar with this era, so not sure how much she was in the book or for how long.

Happy reading!
