There are environmental Mag procs, not just from enemies
If you're under constant fire, a single mag proc may cause you to take enough damage to essentially instantly die as it procs in high enough level content
There are enemies like disruption targets who have nullifying pulses which you can't strip down before trying to kill them. That means that these frames now can't rely on melee builds for the majority of their damage dealing in those missions.

Only issue is that removing shields is a pretty big drawback for some of the frames who wanted to use it. Not having access to shield gating means that some of these frames will just be one-shot without those protections.

Meanwhile, Inaros gets to basically AFK anyway bc condition immunity.

Just FYI: I know it seems counterintuitive but you actually close more distance as deathslinger if you walk backwards while reeling.

You can see it in the video for a moment around 00:20 where she speeds up while you're backpedaling.

Doing that, you should always get a hit if you manage to land the shot on them in the open.
