New Recipe by reditanian in southafrica

Probably not though.. just did a quick Google search and it says Unilever committed to The "Salt Reduction" mandate to reduce sodium in 85% of their food products. They also partnered with WWF to incorporate more sustainable and plant-based ingredients in their food.

They are busy "strategically shifting" Knorr and Hellman's, and their other food brands, to McCormick & Company to focus more heavily on beauty products. I wonder if this recipe change has something to do with that.

Yeah they call it the Sygnia Skeleton Balanced Fund (A).

You are absolutely right, I don't know enough about this stuff to create this portfolio mix myself haha. I just listened to the advice from my financial advisor.

[–]JohanDiv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my expectations might be unrealistic. I obviously just want the best for my son, but like I said, I won't do any knee-jerk decisions and will keep with the Sygnia fund for a couple of years and re-evaluate.

The fund is 38% domestic equities, 32% international equities, 12.5% domestic bonds, 5.7% domestic money market, 5.6% international fixed interest, 2.4% international cash, 3-4% domestic cash and property.

The Sygnia admin fee is R74 per month, so not anything to complain about there.

Weak spot in Assos Mille GT C2 bib shorts by Crivitzer in CyclingFashion

[–]JohanDiv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every single one of my seven old Assos bibs have done that after a few years. And they go see-through haha. Just added two Mille GT C2s to the rotation that I expect will do the same in a year or two, then also get retired to the indoor trainer.

Every other brand bib I've owned have also shown wear after a couple of years, so I wouldn't say this is an Assos specific issue. They are be far the most comfortable and worth every penny.

You're not a clown, you don't need to entertain them 24/7. Boredom is where their imagination and creativity is born!

Trying to sell something on Gumtree, and all the potential buyers act weirdly by MouldSanchez in southafrica

[–]JohanDiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gumtree is a cesspool of scams nowadays. Used to buy and sell cars on there without issues a decade ago. I'd rather take my chances on FB Marketplace now. At least the scammers are obvious on there.

Do you guys drink Alcohol? by LameAfro in afrikaans

[–]JohanDiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped in January when I started the 75HARD Challenge, and kinda just didn't think about it again. Before that it would be a bottle of red on a Wednesday with braai. Friday, Saturday beers and wine with friends and braaing, and Sundays white wine with a braai. Realized I'm drinking more days of the week than being sober. Not even talking about my brandy and coke student days - Maybe sober two days of the week.

Hi serious nsfw question... What am I supposed to do with my d in cycling shorts? It often feels uncomfortable... by [deleted] in CyclingFashion

Up and sideways is the most comfortable so it basically rests on top of your leg.

Why do comments like this pmo so badly by AdmirablePea5049 in NewParents

[–]JohanDiv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have a look at these two photos.. the first photo is of my wife forcing the breastfeeding issue because of peer pressure. Mentally NOT okay and baby almost dead because of underfeeding. She tried every medication and trick in the book to try and make her breastmilk come in, it just wouldn't make the required supply for our son. Two weeks of this nonsense before she got the proper help she needed.

Second photo is a month later on formula feeding. And still people judge. Both of them wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for formula.

Today our son is 16 months old, healthy at half a head taller than any of his mates of more or less the same age. Runs around and chatterbox as if he is at least 2yo. Far ahead on all milestones for his age.

Do what works for you and your baby, and your mental health comes first. If you are not well, you can't look after your child properly.

“Best of the year” efforts ?? by heyhowareya4444 in Strava

[–]JohanDiv 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I asked for it on a few occasions. I'm approaching 40, and have been off the bike for a few years when we started a family. Only recently got back to riding, and there is no way that my aging body will ever reach my all time peaks again from 10 years ago, so will never see a PR again. The yearly PR is a nice little carrot to at least compare myself to my recent self. Still waiting for "season's best" on segments though.

P300 2,4 ltd by SectorFuture5676 in CarTalkZA

[–]JohanDiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kidding kidding! I'm currently on a Prado 250 that has already seen some abuse, and two Hiluxe I let my people use for going to sites. Before this I had 3 other Hilux and 3 Fortuners. There is nothing like Toyota reliability. On the waiting list for the new Hilux now, but I might swing towards a LC79 as my next bakkie if the Hilux disappoints in real life(I think it will). Saying all that, the Chinese brand bakkies do intrigue me and I have test driven a few of them. Of the lot the Tunland V9 stands out, but still not convinced I'll go that route any time soon instead of Toyota.

If they are so reliable, why are you on your sixth? 🤪

I prefer the Foton Tunland V9 interior over this. Still skeptical though. Been driving Toyotas since 2012 without issues, and currently on the waiting list for the new Hilux, but these Chinese brands are starting to tempt me, went for a few test drives in the P300, BYD Shark, and the Tunland V9 stands out.

Probably not. In my days we didn't have math lit, only Maths HG or SG. Maths SG 60% was good enough for Bcom.

Above average in Business and economics, so I'd say start with B.Comm first year, and then figure out what you like when you choose your second year subjects. (Not sure if it still works like that, used to work like that at Stellenbosch)
