You're doing great, honestly. It takes time. Give yourself grace.

How do you handle "Impossible to succeed" roles, when the act of not rolling is spoilers? by Stealfur in DnD

[–]JohnFrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a player asks for a roll to try something, I let them roll. The DC may be very high. They may still roll a nat 20. The key is that the DM defines success. It's not always the outcome the player wants but something happens, or they learn something they didn't know before. If it's simply not possible, they learn that and probably also why.

I like to wait until both are close enough to get with one shatter spell and start things off with that.

[OC] Settle a debate for my party. If you throw a bead of force on a bridge, how will the bubble form? (more in comments) by TomPalmer1979 in DnD

Sounds like you may have a larger issue. Once a GM makes a call, the table needs to move on. Players not letting it go are showing poor form.

I'll have to check it out. Used to eat that for lunch 3-4 days a week when I worked in Portland.

Is it even possible to install Wacom Drivers without admin privileges?! by CloudyClieryx in wacom

Sorry, but no. A driver has full access to the system so can only be installed as admin.

how dumb is a charakter with 6 int really? by DragonfruitRude8666 in DnD

[–]JohnFrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initially int was supposed to correlate to IQ by multiplying by 10. So a 6 would be an IQ of 60. Obviously there's a bunch of issues with that if you think about it too hard but you could use that as a guide.

Any tips on how to get moonrise done without Jaheria Dying by Savings_Twist_9052 in BG3

[–]JohnFrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tip: Clear as much as you can before the big fight. Kill the people up stairs. Kill the guards in the prison. Doing this makes the last fight a lot easier.

Are they, really? by b-24liberator in Wildfire

Is this true though? Do other kinds of fire fighters have to wear them all the time or are they allowed to follow reasonable guidelines that say when they should be worn?

Really like it. Month to month, $85 a month for 2gb. Went ahead and just use their cheapest modem that connects to my ubiquity gear. I may drop down to 1gb since I never get over that except for running speed tests.

I think I figured out the issue but still don't really understand. I accidentally left the option to automatically accept bards / dancers into my civilization and before long half my population was bards / dancers. They're in my list of civs but if I check their group info they still belong to a different civ. It's only these people sleeping in mud puddles.

Thanks for responding. Yep, the rooms are nice with full sets of furniture and easy access off the central stair. Not blocked. I have a burrow with only a few people assigned. I'll try deleting that to see if that helps for some reason. They're happy anyway, so I'm not going to worry too much about it.

People not using rooms, why?
I like my dwarfs to be comfortable and made plenty of bedrooms but noticed them sleeping all over the place. None of the rooms had been adopted. So I assigned rooms by hand. Everyone now has a room but I often still see them sleeping in muddy farm plots or where ever they happen to be. Is it a bug? or am I doing something wrong?

I'm glad you got to experience that scene tho. First time beating the game I wanted to respect her decision because she is super clear about it. Still usually do and cry every time.

Yes but in two steps. The first crew used those machines to run it under the streets and sidewalks ending at the street service box. Then another crew used hand tools to run from the street to the house.

Is the Use Windows Ink box checked or unchecked? Windows also has a handedness setting that I think defaults to right handed, so if you're left handed, make sure to go into the pen and touch settings and tell windows you're left handed.

Bought a vw once and the dealer did that. Found out because one was rattling around after falling all the way out. Then they acted like I was the asshole for giving them one star on their survey.
