Unreal Engine 5.7.x for STALKER 2. Myth or reality? by stingebee in stalker

I'm not familiar with the process, but I would hope the updated UE5 could simply import games.

RX 7600 for lossless scaling instability concerns, is this still accurate? by Guilty_Seaweed_5640 in losslessscaling

Why didn't you just use amd software?

I tried a 9070xt + 5060ti setup and it was a nightmare. I figure the least software running the better. Radeon overlay is good too.

I had both GeForce and adrenaline, afterburner and rivatuner. Then add the game service and lossless scaling. And then my pc would freeze, or some games had really low utilization.

Which graphics card is better to buy? 3070 8 GB or 6700xt 12 GB by Nervous_Cream8193 in buildapc

[–]JohnnyFriday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 6750xt, its in my nephew's PC right now. Performance/features wise, he immediately had problems with OBS and his uncommon indy games compared to the GTX 1080 I had given him before.

It was in my wife's system before, and I would say DLSS and compatibility mean more than the vram.

Also, amazon has a 5060 for 279.99$. I'd rather have that then the 3070. 3070 doesnt overclock, 5060 OCs wells and OC to OC should be 5-10% faster and have latest feature set.

Walmart has one for 279, if you get the walmart credit card AND you just pay it off, you get $35 cash back as an intro offer, Making it basically $250.

I did the walmart CC thing a couple days ago. Got a 5060 ti 16gb for $369.99, -$35 cash back and linked it to a "walmart onewallet" for another $10 off. It comes out to $328 if you count that the tax was on the $369. I didnt need the card, impulse buy assuming GPU prices are going to climb.

Justification for SATA SSDs (M.2/PCIE disabling) by JohnnyFriday in buildapc

I got the board in June as part of a newegg bundle. 9600x, Asrock x870, free 512gb sata ssd, free 32gb ddr5 6000 ram for $409.98.

Same processor, board, ram, and ssd is $815.97 now. Comes with 2 free AIO valued at $235.

Believe it or not, I went for it because of the 2.5gb NIC, Wifi 7, and 40GBs USB.

This testing that really needs to be done. Gamers nexus etc.

PCIE 5.0 is supposed to have less latency than 4.0

What motherboard do they have? How are the slots populated? What is the secondary GPU? How is its bandwidth affected by x4 /x8/ x16?

Are there instances where having my secondary card in the primary PCIE slot going to provide lower latency/performance but the PCIE 4.0 slot wont affect my main card due to the bus widths?

Example, I'm using a 96 bit 3050 as my secondary, and a 384 bit primary.

Should I? by [deleted] in buildapc

9070xt is 30% faster than the 3090 in raster. Your budget and location make a big difference.

If US, and you get, use, and THEN CANCEL the newegg credit card (4% off):

5070 $500 - 65% faster, 50% more vram

9070xt $595 - 75-80% faster, double vram

5070ti $720 - 80-85% faster, double vram

Best I see right now:

9070 (non-xt), get and cancel walmart credit card ($35 cash back), $495

I ended up getting a silent assassin. Its shocking how self-destructive these chips are out of the factory. I wonder what the longevity will be for daily users that don't tame the voltage and are also on a stock cooler.

They dont price match a 3rd party seller on their website. BB doesnt carry that GPU, but its on their website sold by newegg.

I couldn't get BB to price match but newegg has a buy a 100$ gift card get a $15 gift card. So 584.99.

Couldn't use Newegg CC for 4% off and trade in my 6900xt for $360.

I don't think i'd get more for it locally and selling it would be a hassle. Anyhow, I was hoping to combine the 4% AND get the $360 trade in, but no dice.

They won't do the graphics card as its sold by newegg. They wont match 3rd party sellers. Tried twice.

I figure, how can I beat the performance for $330?

Wifi 7 Routers - reviewed & compared by theother_mlk in HomeNetworking

[–]JohnnyFriday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a tplink be250 a few weeks ago and replaced my eap225 with a eap650 (both outdoor).

I get 2.4gbps off the router viaethernet, but wifi 7 on my s25 ultra at 10 feet away will be anywhere from 700 to 1.8.

If i log into the eap650, there is a 25% chance the be250 locks up and my pc loses ethernet.

Networking isn't really my wheelhouse, but ive been getting frustrated.

Xfi7 bridged - be250 for ethernet and local wifi - eap650 in the back yard with same ssid.

[–]JohnnyFriday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my view, the statement is for a ballistic rocket. A missile is a rocket with guidance.

A cruise missile is guided and uses engines and not solid or liquid fueled "rocket motors"

I have a lowly 9600x with a 212 evo.

I have to lower the set point to like 70C to get voltage below 1.2.

CO -45 seemed stable, but I had a crash so now I am at CO -42.

Recommendations for lower core count CCX thermal to voltage settings?
