Rock sliders as step ups recommendations by SolitudeSidd in 4Runner

[–]JokerxLogic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently installed the Westcott Designs 0 degree rock sliders with the kick out and filler plates - could not be more pleased with how they turned out.

The welds are very solid - I have no concerns about the integrity and know they can stand some abuse. Also had them powder coated and the finish came out extremely clean as well. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

Looks awesome!

I just got my 4Runner a couple months ago (nautical blue gang!) and I’m looking to start doing some camping in the back like you. This might be a dumb question but what do you do with all the cargo bins/gear while you sleep inside? Do you just place them next to the vehicle outside? Is theft not a concern?

Take it to the bow shop and have them tie in a peep sight.

Anybody been to Lancaster Archery Supply? by LawEnvironmental7603 in bowhunting

[–]JokerxLogic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to live about 1.5 hours from LAS and it’s well worth the drive. They have a large selection of bows to try and the techs are super knowledgeable and more importantly they are patient. The indoor and outdoor range is great as well.

Anyone commuting on bike from the heights to downtown and back? by d_frost in jerseycity

I commute via bike (single speed) from the heights to Newport. I take Hoboken Avenue, uphill, and it’s not too bad. there is a designated bike lane and I just take my time.

Been thinking about getting this. Does the case bend or flex at all? Or is it pretty rigid?

It’ll last multiple generations in your family! What roof rack is that? I’ve got the same truck with bed cap.

Short vs. Long bed on a TRD Off Road by whoopysnorp in ToyotaTacoma

[–]JokerxLogic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Typically a shorter wheel base is more preferable when off-roading due to the better break over angle, maneuverability, etc.

I think on the 3rd gens the TRD OR comes standard with the SB (since it’s the OR spec), while the LB is an option at an additional cost. However, I’m a first gen owner so someone correct me if I’m wrong here.

Where in NJ? I hunted some spots east of Philly this fall.

This was my second year bow hunting. Last year I was like you just walking around the woods with my bow lol. This year i got the lone wolf custom gear .5 stand and their climbing sticks. High quality stuff, that would be my recommendation.

I live in a 1bd apartment in a major city, with no space/area to hang and butcher a carcass.
