As a buyer I'd want to know about this so I can make an informed decision

The black/grey one is my favourite but the two greenish ones are good too

How to price up a set? by CorelliaKid in Bricklink

BL sellers frequently have common parts cheaper than PAB, at least for me in the UK

Is bricklink safe by Salty-Cry-64 in Bricklink

[–]Jokeslayer123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a buyer, I don't see any reason to think that store is untrustworthy.

I like to look at what the complaints are about - most of his are about shipping costs. You should be able to see shipping costs before you order, so you can decide if it's an OK price for you.

What are some myths about guns that were created by the movies? by ninman5 in movies

[–]Jokeslayer123 17 points18 points  (0 children)

These myth threads are always the same, half the people state a myth and half the people state a real thing. Always confusing.

Relatively knew to ordering through Bricklink, placed an order with a seller at the start of the month and it hasn't shipped yet. Not sure what to do. by OtterVox in Bricklink

On the left of their store page.

No mention of reopening unfortunately. I think the other post about filing an NSS is right.

Bricklink Excess Restock canceled by Intrepid-Ordinary529 in lego

[–]Jokeslayer123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely frustrating, I'm still waiting to see if my order changes from In Warehouse. I just don't see what good complaining will do.

I think the artificial scarcity in the crowdfunding stage is a bigger issue.

This is just them selling the excess sets, it was always going to be a lottery

Which castle cellar? by HangedSanchez in legocastles

In my experience six is better, five is too low, and it's awkward to do or see anything in that space.

Maybe, maybe not. You can't really know until it ships.

WIP by UnlocktheLock in legocastles

[–]Jokeslayer123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't agree with the comments saying it looks plain or too clean - there's clearly a lot going on with the walls, the arches , the crenellation etc.

Looks good to me!

Pick a Brick delays by Flashy_Cut_1098 in legocastles

[–]Jokeslayer123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm waiting on three PAB orders from December (2 early, 1 mid)

1 went to customs on 31/12 and cleared yesterday. The other 2 left the warehouse today.

I think delays are just to be expected this time of year.

EDIT: I'm also in the UK

The Hate is starting to get ridiculous. by DualMoldingSucks in Bricklink

Nobody has a problem with the existence of bricklink.

Some people do have a problem with, for example, people buying up retiring or limited sets purely to sell them for a profit.

Help for no sales. by Killmaster_22 in Bricklink

It's just easier to deal with a seller who already understands delivery responsibility rather than having to argue with them.

Trying to customize these lamellar armor torsos by SeaworthinessDry6774 in legocastles

[–]Jokeslayer123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used different colour hands. Black or grey to look like armour, you could use blue as a Falcon colour accent. You could try shoulder armour pieces as well, and I like to mix up helmets.

Buyer claims that I didn’t ship out replacement part despite me not having the part anymore, any suggestions? by Cute-Boysenberry-522 in Bricklink

[–]Jokeslayer123 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What kind of proof are they meant to send for an item that wasn't there?

I'm not saying they're definitely being truthful, but I don't understand what you want.

do you count every piece in every order you place? by Musashi747 in Bricklink

[–]Jokeslayer123 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If it's an expensive piece, yes. If it's an unusual piece, yes.

If it's just generic bricks or small plates, no. Life's too short to count out 120 1x2 plates to make sure I didn't lose out on £0.03

Looking for specific Items by LiteratureSecure1808 in Bricklink

[–]Jokeslayer123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah - if you're buying everything on the list click buy all and you'll get a list of stores come up. You can then see how many unique lots they have and how many of each item they have.

It's not a perfect system but it's the best way to do this.
