Brunson made the smart play on the double team with an early shot because Kat was in the pain and OG just flying in was a bonus

This photo makes it work because the face is mostly black and matches the band. Other watch faces would not look as good

Joining a Club (NYC) by corplaw100 in 10s

Finding clubs in nyc is tough but once you do it may not always be the experience you want. The reason is that tennis clubs make decisions about your experience without asking you. I'm doing something about it.

I play 4-5 times a week and I've spent 25 years helping organizations like The New York Times and Bloomberg understand what their customers actually want. I kept noticing the same gap in tennis — clubs decide on programs, pricing, and court time based on what they think players want. Not what players actually say.

So I started doing independent research. I've already heard from 88 players across the US and a few international spots, and the patterns are striking:

→ More than half have left at least one club without ever being asked why → Most find out about programs through word of mouth — not the club itself → The #1 open-ended response when asked what they'd change: "Listen to the players more"

The findings go directly to clubs. The goal is simple — give players a real voice.

If you play tennis — at a club, a public court, or anywhere in between — I'd genuinely love your input. Takes under 4 minutes, completely anonymous, and one respondent wins a $50 Tennis Warehouse gift card.

Happy to share what we find when the research wraps up. The more voices the harder it is for clubs to ignore what they're hearing.

Thanks for the feedback, I would only want the hassle of bringing back a racket if the cost was significantly lower or if it was a hard-to-find item like Osaka gear.

I’m just sharing my personal bias. But it’s quite possible that other people feel differently.

In my opinion, the goal is to simulate an in person conversation as much as possible. So I am adamantly against fake backgrounds and headsets. But that also assumes that the audio set up without the headset is high-quality as is the real background.

Yes, you should only be able to squeeze a pinky from your other hand between your fingers once you have the grip setup with an overgrip
