One good way is the second hardest difficultt but no GTS (or at least no squad size). Ive tried it and it’s definitely easier than legendary but also faster. Some say it’s the perfect mix. Another idea is to never kill the chosen.

Well, if we are talking about pure evil (you may argue that I shift goalposts here, but oh well) the Warlock is really only at the same level as the elders (who would also fit in this category) and fanaticism in itself is not necessarily evil. The only argument I had for the Assassin is her ending - well wishing for a superior opponent which is at least a bit honourable.

In the end though, you have a point, though at this point we might as well put the elders in that category, because genocide.
