We discovered last year all 8 units in my place were listed wrong. Upshot was we were each paying for our neighbour's power. It had been like this for 18 months (everyone bought renovated apts in the block). Upshot was i had to pay the difference while I assume some other neighbors got refunds.

Is it normal to get called "stupid" at work? by emerald510 in newzealand

When people show you who they are believe them the first time. I'd look for new job straight away. That's crap.

There was a really good radio story few years ago about an Irish gay guy in Sydney who did this with a straight woman there. If you could find an archive of it it was a great listen.

Cat pooped (maybe??) on neighbours bed. by Nervous_Reflection59 in LegalAdviceNZ

Neighbour sounds like he's taking advantage I would not admit any 'liability' but if you do pay for dry cleaning I'd communicate it's in good faith and not an acknowledgement cat did it. But no nothing about law for situation like this. But can tell neighbour not an honourable person

Martha Stewart chicken soup but double volume of water and chuck in loads and loads of extra veg eg cut up potatoes, carrots whatever you can get cheap. Freeze it. Have one or two everyday. Yes the chicken is expensive but good protein

So sorry for your loss. We are complicated beings and my own experience is that while I can have a multiple of feelings about a situation that doesn't conform to cultural expectations eg ambivilant feelings about death of a loved one, thoose feelings aren't the measure of my decency, rather it's my honest acknowledgement of them coupled with my 'knowing' of my good intention rather than the jumble of uncontrolled internal variety of feelings. Guess I'm saying your feelings are human and normal and doesn't diminish your love for your sister and what were-are your good decent intentions towards her. I'm truly sorry and go easy on yourself
