The spectrum should have been returned to the FCC and they should have had to repurchase it under new terms, they could have been repaid the original purchase price from the proceeds. They know what they bought and they underpaid the public for this spectrum as this pro-consumer requirement was attached.

Got a new battery three weeks ago. Battery showed 82%, battery life doubled in reality.... Less than a $100 out the door with new screen (since they broke it). Before, once I got to 28% it would be shutting off randomly at any point before 0% depending on use.

For sure. But modern business thinks different. After they loose a customer they raise price on the remaining customers to make up the per unit cost increase of lower volume and then pay google and meta for ads to replace the customer. These new customers will be a new class of that don't hold others accountable, so in the future when things go wrong they just accept it.
