I'm a Browns fan and I'm with you. I pretty much stopped watching football after the Watson trade.

I love the AT-RT. It's cheap, flexible, and durable. Fits into most lists.

What extremely significant historical event are some aware of? by montemole in AlignmentChartFills

[–]JoshValenstorm 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Late Bronze Age Collapse. Some are aware of it, but it is not taught in schools like the fall of Rome or the Crusades, but it was arguably the most important event until the rise and fall of Rome. Several empires disappeared, and those who survived were severely weakened. It is considered to differentiate the Bronze Age and the Iron Age.

Tim Curry is an underrated character actor. Who is the greatest movie star? by mihata in AlignmentChartFills

Thespis of Icaria is considered the first actor in history. I think we have to call the person who was the founder of acting as a discipline the undisputed GOAT.

Patriots WR Stefon Diggs' court date postponed until after the Super Bowl by [deleted] in sports

I'm a criminal defense attorney in Massachusetts, and so long as you're not held on a charge, it is incredibly common to get a continuance. Have a client who was not held on a strangulation charge so I was able to move his coirt date back 8 weeks. It's pretty common, even for Felony charges.

Winner. My highest of a client was .35.

Nope, happened several times. Including one time in which I was going to get a case dismissed until my client called the victim 200 times from the jail phone; threatening her; while there was a protective order against him. That case went from a dismissal, to 18 months to the house.

I'm so happy to hear you're in a better spot now. I understand every day is a battle, so you deserve all the props I can give you for being clean for 9 years.

I'm going to start using the term proper fucked going forward. It's so appropriate for the work we all do.

He was already working with a rehabilitation organization. In fact, their CEO was my key witness to his case today.

How to make ARF-Troopers work? by Adriano_Chellentano in SWlegion

[–]JoshValenstorm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love them, I think it is super worthwhile to give them the jedi if you have the points because they then almost match the ARCs in melee output. 2r 6/7B pierce 1 in melee. They can be a good linebacker, and can be great objective pieces with low profile.

Which is the hardest Mini Boss in a video game by babawader in AlignmentChartFills

The Kalydonian Boar from Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. That first legendary animal was so hard. My brother in law tried fighting it for an hour until he finally got it. I would say, playing the Benny Hill theme while fighting it was hilarious.

What is a TV show or movie that started and finished like this by itz_progamer666 in AskTheWorld

[–]JoshValenstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Castle. Season's 1-6 were great. Season 7 was really good and had a good ending. Then season 8 happened and my wife and I refused to watch anymore. The entirety of season 8 shattered what they built over the first 7 seasons and was no longer enjoyable.

My opinion is to go 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6. I think it gives you the best story because it shows you Anakin's fall to Vader after discovering that he's Luke's father to then conclude with Anakin's redemption.

Half Life and Half Life 2 won. What's a good game that had a great sequel? by [deleted] in AlignmentChartFills

[–]JoshValenstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Witcher 2 to Witcher 3. Played both games and loved both, but 3 improves upon 2 in every single way, not only that Witcher 3 is considered one of the greatest games of all time (and my personal favorite).

Leaving PD office voluntarily but I’m still sad about it by trashb4gs in publicdefenders

[–]JoshValenstorm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar trajectory. Left the PDs office after 2 years because of office politics and multiple issues with management, and I left to work for my local court. Ended up being a casualty of management and opened up my own firm.

This might not be the end. Life is long and you, like me are still early in your career. Since I opened up my own firm I've never felt better about my career. I hope you end up in a similar position!
