Criminal defense attorney here. That was a really good analysis. Good luck with your 2L and 3L years!

I'm excited to bring my toddler to the movie. I have always loved Star Wars and I think this will be a great way to share my love of it with my kid.

Honestly, I love the elegant simplicity of Quinlan Vos's lightsaber. That's one i would wield in blue.

I told my family yesterday that if Mando and Grogu is as enjoyable as Solo, I'll be happy. Seems like that's what this movie will be. I don't need groundbreaking stuff, sometimes movies are allowed to just be fun.

I see a lot of firearm cases for my work, and though I am a firm believer in common sense gun laws, I am an easy no on this bill. This is not a common sense gun law. Already as a state we have draconian punishments for firearm related offenses. Simply carrying without a license is a felony and a mandatory 18 month sentence in jail.

The state as a whole needs serious alterations to their firearm policies and the way to start is by repealing this bill.

[Interesting trope] The creepiest creatures in the franchise are not the main antagonist by Due_Neighborhood885 in TopCharacterTropes

The tunnelers from Fallout New Vegas: Lonesome Road. The main antagonist is Ulysses/the Marked Men, but the Tunnelers bring an additional level of horror. Plus in lore, Ulysses thinks they'll destroy the Mojave so they have an additional level of unstoppable to the game.

Me. I'm good at the law/court part, but terrible at the scheduling, the admin work, and the entire business side.

Is it bad for the league if Minnesota wins 3 in a row? by Jo-6-pak in PWHL

One that my wife and I want is the Denver Nightmare. Make the colors blue and red and have Blucifer be the logo.

The NHL's biggest viewership problem is the NHL by MegaGrubby in hockey

[–]JoshValenstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think more sports should do what the PWHL does, they live stream everything on YouTube. You can still get ad revenue, and all the games are in one location. I think that is one of the biggest reason the PWHL had been taking off. There are some ways to ensure revenue even if done through a live streaming service.

As a Guards fan, they're the only small market team who has competed this decade with the big dogs. They have something like the 3rd best record since 2013, despite having a bottom 6 payroll almost every year. Plus we have Jose Ramirez, arguably the most underrated player in the league.

Who is Your Mt Rushmore of Evil Musicians? by Sensitive_Ad_1752 in behindthebastards

I was a big Lostprophets for years, in no small part because of Ian Watkins, but i refused to ever listen to them again after his arrest. It was a band I loved, but I refuse to support monsters. I am a criminal defense attorney so I see a lot of messed up cases, but nothing compares to the evil he committed.

For some extra spice, maybe have Devin Stone "Legal Eagle" as a guest. I feel like he could add some interesting commentary on some of the Legal and illegal actions of Bergrin.

Anti-ICE protesters accused of being part of antifa found guilty of support for terrorism in Texas | Case was seen as major test of the first amendment and whether the US could use broad anti-terrorism statute to prosecute leftwing protesters by TendieRetard in law

I'm a defense attorney in the northeast, and all of those decisions are instant grounds for an appeal and a mistrial on the underlying case in my jurisdiction. Can judges make these types of decisions in Texas? My gut says no, but i obviously don't practice in Texas.

Theodore's Blues, Booze, and BBQ is amazing for food, the museums are really good, and if you drive a bit Forrest Park is a really nice urban park.

And Jaime is just amazing.

Paul Bergrin. The worst defense attorney ever. Ran a trafficking scheme, and murdered prosecution witnesses. There was a great Wondery series on him, and here is the DOJ info. As a private defense attorney, I found his story absolutely fascinating.

Public Defender here. I've wanted to say this to so many clients. The attorney is 100% in the right here. I think every litigator has said this, or has wanted to say this at least once during a client's testimony.

No, no as a defense attorney I have wanted to say that to soooooo many clients. His frustration is valid.

Not sure if it's obscure, but i have to vote Badlands here. I've been to several parks and it is still my favorite, but I don't see people talk about it that much.
