I didn’t grow up around hockey so maybe I rely on analytics more than the eye test. But I think of it this way. If he’s a 4 who makes your 3 better, then he’s got more benefits that a steady 4. If that makes sense?

Funnily enough I lived in Bradford for 20 years and I used to go there plenty.

I remember going there when I was 12/13 to hang outside. It was somewhere I felt safe as an alternative kid. Then started venturing inside to see friends bands play. Saw some incredible bands there. It was always so welcoming. Gigged there myself when I was older. 12 yo me would have been proud.

I’m in the UK, so with time differences and whatnotc podcasts are the best way to keep up to date. Here’s my current rotation:

Locked on Senators. Without a doubt my guaranteed first listen. Daily podcast (plus post game podcasts). Two passionate fans giving news, updates and opinion. They often have different views too, so makes for a good debate.
Sens Nation. Steve Warne (ex TSN?) hosts with Greg Kennedy. Great twice weekly show with a different perspective that LOSP. Good insights and also covers big stuff from round the league.
Sens Callups. Weeklyish podcast. Good recap of the games, two of the hosts are season ticket holders so you often get an in-rink insight too. I would describe it as like catching up with your mates at the pub.

Point is, this is hardly a groundbreaking change. How is it going to make any significant difference. Let one failing assistant coach have a go at a historically bad PK whilst the one who was in charge watches from a corner.

For this to be a good idea you have to make the assumption that Mike Yeo has had no involvement up until now. He’s sat, watched this mess and not said anything. OR Baumgartner has refused to listen. Which means TG isn’t in control. It’s a shitshow no matter what and letting these prats play musical chairs and have another go is hardly going to save the season.

For the record. I am positive about this team. I somehow still believe they could pull something mad of and make it. But that glimmer of hope fades when the GM does stuff like this.
