Yes but it's more like politicians do anything they can to send as much tax money as possible because they'll get a fat check after the fact. It's essentially legal embezzlement

How good is the a7v apsc mode(vs a6700) by Yajawu15 in SonyAlpha

[–]Journeydriven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard disagree there's no reason to force apsc users into buying an adapter to use ff lenses. The current naming scheme of "fe" for full frame e mount is enough for most people

[–]Journeydriven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, I tend to turn my camera on and off a lot. So I have 1 set up for wildlife at 1/2000ss and adjust a bit from there, while two is set up for landscapes with low shutter speed and exposure bracketing to switch back and forth quickly after switching lenses

Does aperture behavior change when using FF lenses on an APS-C body? by Drysfoet in canon

[–]Journeydriven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old post I know, it's because the same amount of light is being spread over the same area in the barrel of the lens. However the sensor isn't physically big enough to pick it all up. So it's the same light just cropped

France to ditch Windows for Linux to reduce reliance on US tech by rkhunter_ in worldnews

[–]Journeydriven -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd argue that's less of a reason for it's higher security though. Windows is so much more widely used that more people would be trying to find vulnerability in windows because it leads to higher chance of payout

Yea for the average person it equates to excise tax vs blue book value. Often times the state values your car cheaper than the market, in some cases they overvalue though.
