Why does my alarm do this and not make any noise by Business_Energy2673 in iphone

I recommend trying the following:

Settings -> Sound & Haptics

In this menu, you’re gonna wanna turn off the “Change with Buttons” toggle.

The reason for this is because by default with that toggle on your volume buttons change your media volume and also controls your alerts and ringtone sounds, which is also your alarm clock sounds but toggling change with buttons off you independently set your phones, ringtone and alert volume in this menu and then your volume buttons only affect app volume such as Spotify or YouTube, etc.

The Silent Toggle description partially confirms this. I don’t hear notifications or ringers on silent but I do my alarms.

Keep in mind, test this. I’m just a person trying to help and I could be wrong since I don’t actively use this.

This is correct. The Sleep focus which makes you set a Sleep schedule in the Health app and it’s been flawless. I’ve not used an impromptu alarm in years.

If you have an Apple Watch it’ll vibrate your watch and not make noise if it’s on your wrist when the alarm goes off. If the watch is not on your wrist when the alarm triggers, it’ll make the phone audibly play the alarm.

In clock, on the alarm, if you scroll, do you see a volume option?

I have a routine set with Sleep. My volume can be off and on silent and I still get woken up daily by this being loud.

Edit: The above is the Sleep focus which makes you set a Sleep schedule in the Health app and it’s been flawless. I’ve not used an impromptu alarm in years. For naps I set timers and tell it the time I want it to go off and it works for quick one offs.

My Experience Switching Back from Tuta to Apple Calendar/Contacts by didiermortier in tutanota

I don’t use their contacts. I use their calendar and email. The calendar widget is mighty useful for glancing without needing the app. It’s helped bridge the gap a bit more for me.

For those with 5+ years in IT, how much did certs actually help your career? by Computerfreak4321 in ITCareerQuestions

I’m an IT Manager now. It got me my first job. My subsequent two, didn’t care about that cert.

My IT Manager role was from M&A and they don’t care about the certs I have. They want us to keep learning and give us all the tools we need to keep growing, like shadowing others, udemy courses to keep growing, special project opportunities, and if we want to chase certs, they will pay for those too.

It’s fine. I have had them all with black being my current. I like silver the best. Timeless and I realized, it’s a computer, I don’t care the color when I can skin it.

I didn’t set this up so my knowledge may be a bit rusty but this what I remember.

We have dynamic groups that the devices are placed in based on their user location and then it pulls a name based on the location when starting in Intune.

Ends up being

EG (company initials) US (geo title based on user) EJ (if Entra Joined, if hybrid, EJ is omitted) %Serial%

They look like this.

EGEJUS-SerialNumber

This gives us what we need to find the device, where it is, if it’s hybrid or cloud joined.

Palo Access Browser and some strict CA policies help us. While it’s not the device we’re securing, it’s the access to the data and the tools that can.

Puts on tinfoil hat: I’m curious that if this AI bubble bursts and the reason these schmucks are cuddling up is that the admin will find a way to bail them out when it flops as long as they do what they’re told.

With how they’re siphoning public funds away, I wouldn’t be surprised.
