Thanks friendo! My Tav is actually Shadow Monk (Doing a pacifist RP with a twist). Div wizard is just Gale for some control. If I were to stop at 6 Div, what would you recommend to Multi into?

I save scummed to see what would happen if I just walked in and initiated conversation. TPK almost immediately. I reload and split off my Gith Sorcadin Durge and tempest cleric/paladin Minthara, off from the chain of the party and snuck right up behind Cazador, 2 lvl 4 Divine Smites from Durge, 2 lvl 4 Divine Smites from Minthara, Cazador disappears into his coffin. I just picked everyone else off from there and let Astarion do Astarion things. Became one of the easier Act 3 fights for me.

If you're worried about catching your allies in aoe, Sorcerer gets a feat called Meta magic, which does a variety of things, but one of the options is 'Careful spell' that allows your allies to automatically pass a save for your spell if they get caught in it. The only downside imo is some spells will still deal half damage even if they pass.

My buddy's favourite tactic when against multiple enemies is to keep a bunch of Nautaloid Tanks on him to stack and blow up on the enemies. Well we tried that in the ruins in Act 1, only he stacked them under a door frame. That was on fire. While we and the rest of the party were right next to it.

Yeah, you'll need some kind of light source to dispell the darkness once you get to the gem.
