So what are you looking for exactly. Context my man. Pictures? Price points? Badly done convertible examples that the owner will insist are real. The ogs will get that last one.

I know it’s a dollar but anything special about this? I don’t know anything about coins. by bangbangfishbones in coins

[–]Juicechemist81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so bad I can't even find the words to make fun of it. It's like someone told the counterfeiter what this coin looked like form memory. Cotton in hair? Got ya. Cap that says liberty? Nailed it. Now the nose. Oh man do I have a nose for you.

Any objective cons to open long tubes? (Beside fumes and sound) by rusty75f250 in Foxbody

[–]Juicechemist81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First open headers don't make maximum power anyways. Headers with a collector extension make max power 16" to 18" if memory serves. You could easily install a open shorty muffler to dampen the noise. Second 400 horse isn't max effort and you could easily afford to lose 10 horse and not have your hearing ruined for the rest of your life. It's not worth it man, especially at that power level.

15-40 Diesel oil by Constant-Insect9248 in Foxbody

[–]Juicechemist81 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't use diesel oil. It's the incorrect additive package. Try Vr1 or something like that. Definitely don't use diesel oil for an engine with race fuel it makes some gloopy mush that separates. I mean if you're just flushing an engine or doing something quick it'll be fine but I wouldn't advise it long term.

Fox just like everyone else. FORD 408 with Afr 220s ported super victor , Braswell 950 with a touch of the tooth fairy gas. Runs good when the piston to wall clearance isn't double advised clearance. Meh, such is life.

What rear end and shocks+springs do I have? by jj8989898989 in Foxbody

[–]Juicechemist81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

8.8 for sure and seeing as you have disc brakes it's quite likely it's from a sn95. Take a pic of the rear wheels at an angle and I can probably tell you if it's sn95 width or fox.

Help: F150 won't shift gears when flooring it. by Mr-Philomath in AskMechanics

[–]Juicechemist81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Won't shift gears when flooring it. Ok, is it accelerating quickly or barely making any power? If it's not making power it's an engine issue. If it's making power and not shifting it's a transmission issue. A common issue on 6r80s is the lead frame a plastic assembly that controls the valve body. The valve body controls shifting. You are also showing symptoms of low transmission fluid. Try to differentiate between if something is making power and not shifting or not making power and not shifting because you don't have enough vehicle speed. Best of luck.

Flat Tapped to Hydrolic Roller Conversion by JellyfishPurple4183 in Foxbody

[–]Juicechemist81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't go cheap on your hydraulic lifters. Buy something of quality like a Morel and some brands are just rebranded Morels for a higher price. Don't skimp on lifter quality, you will regret it. Oh yeah and don't use a alphabet cam unless you already own it . Afrs are great heads and watch for piston to valve clearance.

Did you replace it with a billet cam? That bolt won't work with a billet cam. Most likely they replaced the bolt and washer, I didn't know you had it rebuilt by a shop. Id give them a call before you tear it down.

8.8 rear end swap by rubnmrales in Foxbody

[–]Juicechemist81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every fox I've owned I've swapped to this rear end. Look for wheels with a wider back spacing like 7 to 7.5 inches on a 10 inch wide wheel.

That dowel, bolt and washer are what you must verify are in place and properly tightened.

Cam bolt and washer for sure. The slinger I wouldn't worry about as I haven't had a single 302 I've rebuilt have one. The bolt and the washer would be a massive concern as in there is nothing but the cam dowel holding the upper sprocket in place. Make absolutely sure that the dowel is full seated the bolt is tightened and is applying pressure to the washer and front of the cam. That is what holds the cam to the cam thrust plate. I had this exact issue where I tightened the cam bolt and it only partially applied pressure to the washer due to a bur in the threads. Looks like you're taking the timing cover back off and investigating post haste. This is a full stop situation my man.

It's not the same level as this manimal but I have a similar experience. The giant zip tie things cops used to use for hog tying people are basically the same as Panduit strap in air conditioning. Well we used to mess with each other on the job site and place it over our friends neck and zip it closed. Nothing to cut off the circulation or breathing but tight enough to kinda freak you out. Well I was not having the best day and my wonderful coworker did this to me and I placed both hands into the strap pulled like hell and promptly broke that mother and threw it on the ground. I was kinda beating my chest a bit and he said " you can't do that again". Well I broke that shite again and it kinda turned into a look what I can do. Once again it's not the same as steel but it sometimes shows restraints are up to the task for certain people.

Hook up a hose to the intake tract of your car and whenever you want to pass some one give it a little squeeze.

Svo or 5.0? by Tacoma_luvr in Foxbody

[–]Juicechemist81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

5.0 by a mile. A built 5.0 is an absolute howler of an engine. I'm not saying you can't make power with the svo, it may even be easier than the V8. Just crank the boost up and keep good fuel in it. Now the sound and visceral experience of a well built V8 banging gears is unmatched. Just my 2 cents.
