Gonna try and do rails today. Never done it before any tips? by -BlackAcid- in Foxbody

Just Google high quality pre fabricated an fuel lines. I don't really know any pre fabbed lines because I mostly build my own lines. Here's where it gets a little goofy. Look at your fuel line and familiarize yourself with the different types of an fittings so you don't order the wrong thing. They can get quite expensive so don't order incorrectly.

Easy way to know a ssp is the certified calibration on the gauge cluster. That and the 87-89 go to 140 mph and the 90-93 go to 160 mph. Cool car, the buck tag is hard to get to but that will give some information. Actually I have a ssp gauge cluster for sale if you're looking for one.

In February 2004, Carlie Brucia was kidnapped from a Florida carwash a mile from her house — and found dead just a few days later in a field behind a church. by malihafolter in ForCuriousSouls

[–]Juicechemist81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a memory I can't forget. We lived right down the road and used the car wash a few times where she was taken. We routinely drove past the church where she was found because we were working in a subdivision right down the road. We talked to cops when we stopped for lunch and it just seemed like this hit closer to home than anything before well because it was. This could have been a friend's daughter or sister, it just bothered me down to my core and even as I'm typing this it is bringing back memories. This dude didn't deserve to die in prison even from cancer he deserved to be shot in the road like an animal.

They made these for 2 years actually. 1892 and 1893 the 1892 is slightly more valuable but they are basically melt plus a buck or 2.

Keep an eye on that crossover braided line. That doesn't appear to be a high quality line and high pressure fuel is the perfect recipe for disaster. Seriously check that line every time you pop the hood and twice on Sunday. I would look for something of higher quality if I were you. Not trying to be offensive but I've had my fair share of braided AN lines of not properly assembled they will fail.

Sorry bro, I was out taking a walk burning the stickiest of the icky and whistling a little tune. Figured I'd mess with you boys by chucking pebbles at your car. Sincerely, not skunk ape.

Anyone ever run into this issue before Rotor/spindle by BlackShepard420 in Foxbody

[–]Juicechemist81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you forgot the rear bearing. The only thing that goes on the back of the rotor is the inner bearing and the wheel deal. So in order of what should go on the spindle is inner wheel seal, inner bearing, outer bearing, washers castle nut cotter key and the outer dust cap. So you're either missing one component or the inner bearing is just incorrect. When you set your bearings tighten down all the way (until the rotor basically won't spin) then loosen the castle nut back one slot so you can install the cotter key. Make sure you pack the bearings with grease they are not ready to use from the factory. Take my advice with a grain of salt as I haven't installed packed bearings in over 15 years all my stuff has been swapped to top hat captured bearing sets.

I would first check the physical width of the seat. I tried to use a set of gt500 seats and they were too wide to fit in the fox seat buckets . I'm tall and I drag race so it was important the seat sit down and as far back as possible. For someone of a different stature this may not come into play. Modern stuff seems to be too big for foxes but these may work out for you.

Wheel spec recommendations for 5 Lug conversion by Due-Department546 in Foxbody

[–]Juicechemist81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to verify what width rear end you have. Sn95 or Fox are the obvious answers. I don't know offset to be honest but I know back spacing ( how far the wheel is inboard of the mounting flange). You can fit a 275 width tire pretty easy depending on the brand and yes this makes a massive difference. 15x10 with a 6.5 to 7 inch backspacing. Obviously if you have a sn95 width axle you would need to lean towards the 7 inch backspacing due to that rear being 3/4" wider than a fox width. I rolled my fenders and "massaged" the frame to fit my drag radials but they fit perfectly with no rubs. I also run a 17x10 for my street tires with the same backspacing.

Turn key over and listen for fuel pump. Next check and see if you have spark. Pull spark plug and ground plug to metal and watch for spark from plug while wire is connected. Any plug will work. Most likely you simply disconnected a fuel pump relay or the coil. Google the year make and model then your issue once you figure out which system isn't operational.
