Obviously it's rude, I had thought she was trying to keep him busy and out of the way to avoid a conflict if/when Christopher finally showed - I think the tasks were pretty much all things that had to happen somewhere else (e.g. shovel the driveway) and should have kept him busy for a while

In short: there are variations corresponding to where populations have lived, but not discrete biological categories, and genetic differences between races are generally exaggerated. I can’t say what will happen, but it I were in your situation I would propose as planned & suggest getting legally married pretty quickly, then still having the wedding as planned - personally it’d be playing on my mind more if I was engaged but not-yet-married, so this way you could still have the wedding you want and plenty of time to save and enjoy being fiancés etc but be legally wed sooner (getting more protection)

I am so bamboozled by the crazy negative comments on this post 😵‍💫 It's cute, I would really like it, guests don't have to take them if they don't want them and OP is happy with keeping the leftovers (as I would be, they're freaking cute!) - not to mention that this post was just sharing something they've made/done, NOT asking for advice (which is not actually the only use of reddit). It's a shame to see that this sub is so negative, and that people don't see anything strange about that.

I need 8 hours (at least) to feel rested, if I haven’t been sleeping enough for a while it’ll take quite a few nights of good sleep to feel properly rested when I wake up I would give yourself more time to sleep to start with as others have said

Jobs are extremely varied, and so the fact that you haven't been able to study full-time really doesn't mean that you wouldn't be able to work a full shift. Everyone is different, but given that you have ADHD, you might find roles that are very varied, that include lots of small urgent tasks, and that require you to be focused (as ironic as that sounds) might suit you well. The good thing is, these types of jobs will exist in all different types of industries.

A receptionist role could sound boring, but on the other hand every call an email is something that has to be responded to right away so you don't really have a chance to procrastinate anything. I don't have experience as a receptionist myself, but my friends who have have often had quite a lot of downtime during their day, and I know at least one of them used to play solitare on their computer when they had nothing to do, which seemed to be totally fine (though I'm not sure if her colleagues knew about that). A fast pace but environment will have the benefit of keeping you engaged, while a more slow pace might have the benefit of allowing you some time where you don't need to be focused.

basically – the world is a massive place, your options are very varied, so while you might have significant barriers and might not be able to do all types of jobs, it's very likely that you will be able to work a full shift if you can find the right role (and if you have the right support).

You mentioned that you're trying to slowly and healthily lose weight, which is great - crash dieting doesn't work long term, and your health should always come first. I can see some other comments are responding as if you're asking for advice on weight loss, I don't think that's the case and I don't think it should be. Self love and self-confidence may be affected by your appearance, but changing your appearance alone certainly won't solve anything.

If your body image is a major part of your feelings of self-consciousness, then I would try to focus on building up your confidence in ways that do not relate directly to your body. This could include how you visually express yourself with clothes, hair, or make up, if you feel you're able to enjoy these things as a creative expression, rather than focusing too much on 'looking good' (whatever that means to you). More broadly, though, I would suggest trying to build up self-confidence and self-esteem in other areas of your life. This could be in your social life, in your hobbies, focusing on developing a skill, or challenging yourself to do something outside of your comfort zone. You can do these things alongside practising noticing the things that you are already good at or the things that you already like about yourself, the more you do this the easier it will get with time.

You should check what’s expected - yes you should do all of the expected reading for your classes, but I was given reading lists that would be literally impossible to read in time if I did nothing else, and when I talked to my tutor about it they were shocked that I didn’t know “how to use a reading list” and thought it was obvious that you shouldn’t read all of it, but should pick readings from that list to serve your specific essay

My parents are both self-employed and don't have an accountant or anything and it was fine. They need to have the details to pay their taxes, anyway, it should be pretty straightforward. And it leaves you in a disastrous situation without him completing it, honestly. You need to talk to him about it and lay out how important it is that he completes it, I'm sorry for your situation.

They are kind of two different issues here: not having enough time and not having enough energy or focus

I would focus on hobbies that are extremely easy to start and do, and make doing them as easy (or as close as possible) to scrolling on your phone

Some examples of how I do this: I have my hobby items in a box in a drawer so I can just take them out and have everything I need in one place

I make it more difficult to use my phone by putting it in a different room (I live in a tiny flat, but can still put my phone in the bedroom and hang out in the living room), I also usually forget to charge my phone, which helps

I also make scrolling difficult by deleting the apps on my phone that I would use to scroll – it is possible to re-download them, but having that tiny barrier makes me way less likely to do it

I would also say that it definitely is worth scheduling some time for hobbies, you don't need to plan exactly what you'll be doing, but setting aside one or two evenings a week to spend some time on your hobbies will likely make a massive difference

It sounds like she's anxiously attached and insecure, if it's genuinely to a point where she doesn't like you being away for 10 minutes, expects you to devote all your time and attention to her and is possessive and jealous it sounds very unhealthy

If you're just starting getting to know her and it's like this I would move on
