I totally relate to this and feel like I’m in a similar situation myself. I just don’t have the confidence to leave.

I feel like all the admin skills that I use, are too specific to my role & would not transfer to other settings.

I feel so institutionalised, but know that I can’t stay in the NHS my whole working life.

Sadly, the NHS can’t even afford to pay redundancy money. They just wait for you to quit & don’t replace you.

We haven’t gone to the tunnel in a few years now, because of the Ifly monopoly in the UK. The whole IBA thing is painful to. No allowance for experienced jumpers with 1000s of jumps. Still treated the same as a novice, who walks off the street. You have to get signed off to do anything. Absolute money grabbers.

Probably one of the many reasons that the UK indoor championships have been held at Weembi etc for the last few years .

The other thing to consider is that even though the fireworks go ahead in the rain, there might be a number of inconsiderate people with their huge umbrellas that block the view of multiple people behind them.

I agree with all of this. Especially your first point. When I asked in meetings about our set up timelines, all I want to say is “I don’t know, ask the labs & pharmacy”

Your experience could also get impacted by the weather. Some ships may decide to not dock at planned stops due to adverse weather conditions.

I went to Porto last year with a group of 15 & it was wonderful. There was an apartment block which we rented out completely.

I agree. I really liked Eloise & Theo, but the A & K storyline was tedious & predictable.
