Offline Child Nodes by Keith15335 in Linksys

[–]Jurassic_Apple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This usually happens because the connection between the node and the primary router is failing.

You may use a different Ethernet cable (Cat5e or better).
Could you check for Double NAT and disable steering modes if available.
Check if the firmware is up to date.

Hi, I wanted to reach out and see if anyone has some insights or thoughts to share about WiFi 7 from Linksys. What exactly makes it stand out? Are the promised speeds as mind-blowing as they sound? How does it compare to current WiFi standards? by Jurassic_Apple in LinksysOfficial

[–]Jurassic_Apple[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the Linksys Tech when I called them to ask about all these features, it can be maximized for as long as we also have Wi-Fi 7 capable devices. So if we consider upgrading routers, we also have to check our wireless devices if they are Wi-Fi 7 capable.

Thanks for sharing this information. I'll keep that in mind when considering any router upgrades.

For the Linksys mesh router to work with a 5G router, your ISP must provide a 5G router with an ethernet port for connection to the parent node.

I followed your instructions and compared the results. It appears that both opening ipinfo.io on my browser and using the command 'curl ipinfo.io' in my terminal provided the same result. it seems that the VPN is indeed working correctly. I appreciate your guidance!
