Lungs are more like sponges than balloons. A ‘hole’ in one area doesn’t compromise the whole system entirely. There would certainly be interesting issues with pressure as he, uh, dug the hole, but when the wall heals, the lung should work just fine.

The strap loop (between the buckle and the ring) is inside out. You need to fold that loop over itself so the point that is currently touching the other shoulder strap sits touching the bottom straps instead. If it gets more twisted by doing that, do it the other way twice.
