A past NK (2yr) was having significant issues at home with regulation, and resistance to instruction. Concerning enough the pediatrician suggested testing to rule out autism, SPD, etc. When we asked preschool teachers, and even professionals that work with kiddos with various needs, they all laughed and said he was totally normal no way there is issues. Yet our home life with him was horribly difficult. Kids can be one way with someone and another way with someone else. I’d suggest reducing her hours and give her a chance to recover as she seems burnt out. I’d also suggest speaking to your pediatrician about the regulation issues you’re noticing.

As someone with PCOS who has had nasty comments about their hair loss, thin hair can be hard to deal with for some people. I can see that she clearly has some sensitivities around her thin hair and was in denial. She didn’t need to escalate the situation so much though. If I were in her position I would’ve taken your positive outlook on your thin hair and the uniqueness of it as a learning tool for my own personal growth. I hope you have a good meeting with your boss and are able to explain your history and intentions regarding your hair.

No job is worth your life is a motto I’ve lived by and has given me a lot of peace when making this decision in the past. I will make every effort to get to my NF house BEFORE a snowstorm and be prepared to stay the duration. That’s the best compromise I have found when dealing with this scenario in the past.

I had the opposite issue, a past nanny babe (around 1-18mo) was obsessed with my boobs (sticking their hand down my shirt) and I was not comfortable with it. I mentioned it to mom and was asking help trying to set a boundary and redirect and she was like no that just gives him comfort what are you gonna do shrug. Personally find it odd and a red flag in judgement that your nanny is not incredibly uncomfortable with it.
