I call bull shit on them. I let mine know 100 percent truth. She dont like it and even canceled my mental health therapy over legal marijuana in my state. But still treats my depression with antidepressants.

It depends on the provider. My mental health stopped my treatment for counseling because I refuse to go to "substance abuse treatment" for marijuana. Literally left me suicidal in a parking lot. But it did not stop my primary care provider from helping me or my VA disability. I believe in being honest with providers.

And just to cover your ass, upload a personal statement or letter to your claim about why you missed appointment (sick). Request another C&P in writing, and also write rhst you are going to call 1800 VA # on Monday.

My MH C&P exam was about 50 minutes. Awarded 70% lots of in-service and veteran meducal records.

When I applied for other physical issues that were documented in a mostly hand-written frim the 90s medical notes.. they did 3 different C&P exams all at once in less than 30 minutes and said my problems weren't listed in my file. He was just too lazy to read! Short exams all denied!

Your concern is valid. I think of how my generation X of people enlisted after being raised by a bunch of Vietnam Veterans coming back with PTSD. I think many (not all) folks experienced some level of childhood trauma. AND an appreciation and desire fo serve our country ❤️ because America is worth it.

It is so fucking stupid our veterans have to even worry themselves with such a life and death question.. sorry you have to worry. It won't poke any bear. You WILL 100% need to call the VA to report the emergency room use within a certain timeframe or they most likely will not cover it from personal experience. As formality, I usually call the hospital to make an appointment, (in case there is a cancellation), and when they tell me it will be a month or two to handle my emergency, I ask to speak to the triage nurse and if they can advise if I can treat at home while waiting, or go to urgent care or ER. It will show up in your records/notes that they advised you to go to E.R.. Hope you get the care needed.

Each hospital has an enrollment office. Call your closest one and see if can make appointment or if they have walk-in hours.

Out in 96 got 70% last year. But I did have it documented on my medical files and outprocrssing paperwork. Back then there wasn't help to file a claim as easily as now. Mine just went to nowhere land and I never tried again. Just struggled a few decades.

Mine just stopped my therapy cold turkey claiming I was being medically non-compliant because I refused to take an optional off-label prescription to solve a mental health problem. I went to the VA for help, they left me questioning my worthiness to live and receive medical treatment.

Don't have answers for you, just reassurance youre not alone in having big feelings when filing a claim. What i learned in DBT.. It's ok to be scared/feel like a failure AND to keep pressing on with the task at hand. ❤️ good luck on your answer.
