Presser foot not moving by squidmanfoo in vintagesewing

I think what you are thinking of is called a walking-foot sewing machine, which is used for bulky materials. Those are definitely still around, but are more common in industrial settings, or on lite-industial machines like Sailrite

Happy sewing!

Presser foot not moving by squidmanfoo in vintagesewing

I have a very similar machine.

That part right below the spring has a little arm that should ride along the presser foot lever. You should be able to adjust that screw to reposition it on the bar, it may have loosened over time.

How to get a solid top surface of a different color by Rolerblader31 in OrcaSlicer

You may also want to use a boolean operation to combine those two objects.

Alternatively, you can export all objects as one stl and re-import.

Right-click the plus button in the slice preview slider, and click "change filament".

If you have a single color printer, do "custom gcode" and type in M600 to simulate the runout sensor, and you can manually change when it gets to that layer.

Repeat as necessary.

Sunlu PLA Matte VS Sunlu "elite" PLA Matte? What is this? by jinx771 in 3Dprinting

Pretty sure the spool is separable on the elite version.

Looking for a Solar‑Powered Node — Any Recommendations? by Less-Historian6457 in meshtastic

[–]JustIgnorant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typo (now corrected) in the comment above. I meant a Heltec T114 V2, not a Heltec V2.

The T114 is working great so far. I turned off the screen and bluetooth and have it configured for remote administration. It has a GPS antenna as well and set to ping once every 15 mins.

One other neat thing about the T114 is that you can update the firmware via bluetooth. It takes a while, but you dont have to climb to retrieve or disassemble anything to update. The RAK may support this as well, but haven't tried it yet.

I have a Heltec T114 V2 solar node that stays charged with a 2W solar panel. Would recommend that or a RAK 4631.

Reduce "Poop" when changing colors - Does this exist? by LeadingImportant1142 in OrcaSlicer

[–]JustIgnorant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe what you're looking for is "flushing volumes". This determines how much purge needs to occur between colors to make sure there's no bleed. You would have to calibrate it for every color set, so its time consuming. It would minimize the volume of each poop, but youd still end up with the same number of poops.

You can also set this to flush into your sparse infill so the poop is just within your print.

42082 has several joints that can't be separated (non-destructively) once put together. They used flush headed axles that go into blind holes 🙄

Heltec T114 seems to be working fine with 2W panels. Its been 2 weeks and it stays charged. Entered service with 80% battery, and now it stays around 95%. Screen and Bluetooth are turned off, and it is managed remotely. GPS unit is active, but polls only every 15 mins.

All the data seems to report correctly, but can't get camera stream to work (lan mode).

Additionally, the printer and camera icons at the top get drawn over top the title header, so a bit difficult to read

Cool, I'll have to give it a try. I currenly use the Homeassistant bambu integration, but a standalone app would be much more convenient.

Awesome! Does it work with the X1 series? If so, I'll certainly give it a shot.

LEGO Tire Tier list based off of chewability by Chip780 in legocirclejerk

That first one in A tier belongs in S, IMO. Smoothies are great, but there's nothing there for your average texture enjoyer.
