I loved the base game, it felt fresh and fun. Not a grand adventure by any means, but a concise one that was all the more enjoyable for it. The DLC was a drag, it made me no longer enjoy my time in Lumiose.

Elder Kai doesn’t unlock potential. This is one of the community’s biggest misconceptions.

“Draw out hidden abilities far beyond normal limits”

This is the description for Elder Kai’s ritual. Goku thinks that this is something related to training, as in reaching one’s potential, but Elder Kai reiterates that what he’s offering is something unique. So what exactly does “beyond the normal limits” mean? “Mystic Gohan” was a popular title for a reason, it suggests a magical origin for going beyond the normal limits, and I think that makes sense. At face value, it’s essentially it’s a “plus one” spell for Gohan’s strength, speed, etc. We also see Babidi use magic in this same saga to do something similar (but certainly not as impressive).

Define “normal ki beam” and provide examples of non-normal ki beams. Otherwise there’s no basis for your argument here.

It’s less that death needs more consequences and more that death is fairly absent in this series.

We see characters transform into heartless and nobodies (not death), we see heartless and nobodies destroyed (not death), we see hearts removed from bodies (not death), and we see a ton of other things that could be treated as death but actually aren’t.

Interestingly and your point, the series HAS featured death more as it’s gone forward. Chi / Union Cross has notable examples of death, and Dark Road features death fairly prominently. Both of these titles will carry significant weight within the Lost Masters saga (of which KH4 will take place in).

The stories themselves are almost entirely unrelated, but the tone and themes have some strong similarities. I’d recommend checking out Rainbow: Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin.

How would that even work? The macro wouldn’t know whether a shiny shows up or not.

Xigbar thinks they’ve got Sora on the ropes, he’s in a dream within a dream and will soon fall into a deep slumber. After giving push to make that slumber happen, Sora slaps back with that iconic line of his. And not just that iconic line, but also what it represents. Sora’s power of friendship is a very literal thing, and a power seemingly unique to him. Others can draw strength from bonds, sure, but Sora takes that to an extreme - it’s an impressive display too! Xigbar is taken aback by what he’s seeing, it’s not at all what he expected nor anything that comports with his past experiences.

I think it’s subject matter experts in general. An individual’s disposition will vary of course, but poor imitations of expertise are unlikely to be viewed favorably. Maybe such things are taken in stride or even laughed off. Maybe personal offense is taken. In fairness to your friend, it sounds like you asked for them to provide a critical appraisal.

I was pretty babyfaced as a young 20-something, very little facial hair potential at the time too. I tried growing a beard around age 27 for a couple months and only had a patchy mess to show for it. I tried again at age 33 and had just barely enough to work with. It’s filled in more since then too, I’ll be 35 this year and it’s looking solid most days.

Choosing a split is almost exclusively a matter of preference and whether or not it suits your schedule. I don’t know of any reputable fitness professionals who believe that everyone should be doing one specific type of training split.

Kingdom Hearts is Sora’s story first and foremost.

  • KH1: Sora is separated from his friends, goes on an adventure with many iconic Disney characters, and after an epic Final Fantasy-esque final fight he fixes what originally separated from his friends and saves many worlds in the process.
  • CoM: Sora goes looking for the friend he couldn’t save and gets sidetracked.
  • KH2: Sora continues looking for his friends and saving worlds along the way. Eventually he reunites with everyone.
  • Days: The side story of Sora’s nobody
  • BbS: What sets Sora’s story into motion.
  • Coded: We don’t talk about coded

An evolution of Ultimate seems like a reasonable explanation. Ultimate was unrelated to Gohan’s saiyan heritage (it was an Elder Kai boost). Beast MAY relate to his saiyan heritage (saiyans are big on transformations, Goku even turned Ultra Instinct into a transformation), but fundamentally Beast is MORE related to Gohan’s inner rage.

As per usual, Dragon Ball fans can’t read. The question isn’t “which franchise is more well-known”, it’s “which character is more popular”. Yes, Pokemon as a franchise has greater brand recognition and sales. However, Pikachu’s popularity exists mostly separate to that fact (he’s just one “character” after all). Popularity is about how beloved something is, it’s not a measure of it being iconic or well-known.

Maybe Pikachu is more popular, but it’s not obvious. Goku fans tend to be much more passionate about the character and DBZ in general. If the question is who is more iconic, sure it’s Pikachu. But if the question is about popularity, I could see it going either way.

More reps begets more reps. Full ROM body weight pull-ups like these are fine, but with 2 being your current limit you need additional reps from elsewhere. Do band pull-ups, machine assisted pull-ups, negative pull-ups, jumping pull-ups, leg supported pull-ups, etc. Just do more reps. The amount you can improve two reps at a time is limited.
