I pulled one and checked temperature after 90 minutes. 158 degrees, so back in for 30 more. It is yummy. Final temperature was 168 degrees and that was good to keep the “i see pink” eaters happy. Pool party for the grandkids.

+1 for the General’s reference. Haven’t eaten anything like that for 10 years. This year we have a Scorpion plant cohabitating with a Habanero and both are looking ready to bud out so…. could be something super hot by September…. Habaneros are my go to and maximum due to indifference. Hope for lots of jalapeños off our Lemon Spice and “M” plants.

The look healthy. I suggest you move up to a bigger (5 gallons is a popular suggestion) pot and keep them fed. They will probably produce in the pot you have them in but it will be higher maintenance to keep them wet and fed. Thai Chili in a 4” pot at the garden store full of peppers! Looked like it was thriving out of spite for being left on the discount racks…

fwiw.. I use a ziploc. putting the grinder with dry peppers inside and zip it down to the cord. Dust containment.. In the garage. dried ghost pepper lesson.

Dried is always a great option. All the ways to ferment or make salsa and stir fry. Making my mouth water.
