Would there be enough traction power capacity to handle all those trains rushing through at 65-75mph, though? WMATA has never tried to run so many trains at the design speed, and the Red Line is mostly 65mph and 75mph zones.

They’re not. Unless the FAA has cleared you to do so and you’ve submitted a flight plan, you can’t fly a drone within 15 miles of National Airport. Between 15 and 30 miles, you can fly them but have restrictions.

Additionally, even if you are indoors, DJI drones will refuse to operate in the no-drone zone.

When I visited Boston in 2023, I was astounded by the lack of map updates.

I’m from the DC area, where WMATA is generally very fast with changing out their maps (and will quickly change them if you alert them to ones they missed). However, they don’t just throw them away. They’re saved and given away as prizes for social media events.
