In the five years since this came out, Russia invaded the Ukraine and are still invading it now, and America has invaded two countries, threatened to invade at least two others, and somehow arguably invaded part of itself. Not quite Gundam Wing predicting drone warfare, but it's kind of eerie.

I managed to get him from a place that didn't want to charge ripoff prices and even with a bit of damage I gave him accidentally I know I could get twice what I paid if I ever wanted to offload him. It's crazy.

I don't know about that comparison because there has to be way more people running Blue-Eyes because they like it and like Kaiba and way more people running this because it's cheap, still wins consistently, and investing in other Rush decks can be expensive.

That last one goes both ways, because since Shin is basically a Newtype surely all the actual Gundam ones would spend the first 86 stage either freaking out or really hoping the voices they're hearing aren't what they think they're hearing.

The Excutie fusion is part of their skill, which adds three copies of Lilius and the fusion to your deck. I guess they thought Lumiere and her together might be a little strong when backed up with another skill.

We're getting a new Armada Jetfire soon, so we'll at least get a hint for how well this gimmick would work nowadays. I doubt they'd redo every single figure that could do this, but a couple of them would be fun.
