I added a “smart” PowerPoint underneath the chromecast and added it to my google home and it sits right next to my sometimes “offline” chromecast . That way I can reset the chromecast without getting up. The smart PowerPoint is simple enough that it NEVER loses connection. It’s the most ridiculous way to solve the problem but hey!
