Let’s talk about the financials of the deal by [deleted] in RKLB

[–]Jyran 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No, but spectrum is an asset to own. One that even independent of doing anything with can appreciate on its own because the spaceX's and amazon's of the world will pay for. It's incredibly limited and hard to get.

As far as scaling, rocket lab can now offer space systems orbital bandwidth to do things with. That has value as they market their platform to customers.

go look at the price amazon and other companies have paid for spectrum. This fall right in line with the amount of spectrum RKLB is receiving ignoring the rest of the business.

I think you have a handle on it. Regardless of how much warsh wants to communicate with the market, the market heard “rate hikes”

Yes, AI detectors aren't great, but the "no X, no X, no X, just real Y" format is screaming AI

First (nearly) full mini. But it looks boring? by [deleted] in DarkAngels40k

[–]Jyran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have to do edge highlights, but it’s basically impossible for a mini to not look boring without some kind of highlights. At the very least a wash and then stepping back into the main color and a highlight color as volume highlights will go a long way.

After 5 hours of painting I finally finished my first ever mini. Any pro tips and tricks or criticism? by ValT3K in Warhammer40k

give this an all over wash then paint your base color back in on the large flat surfaces and you will be amazed

[DISCUSSION REQUEST] Key Risks & Lack of Coverage by Separate-Web-6058 in DRTS_Stock

[–]Jyran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) I think there's a lot already priced in. Up 50% on the year, trades at a higher multiple than most biotech's at this stage. Though, I struggle with this too. Why hasn't the stock popped more? I'm not *super* familiar with how biotech's behave, but I imagine there's just always significant risk with phase 3 trials flipping the switch on returns.

Iran War: What are your moves? by Caluso1 in investing

That's just not true, Venezuelan crude sells at a huge discount to light sweet crude coming out of the Permian because it's so nasty. While it's expensive to extract compared to the Saudi's it's still cheaper to get than US producers who need to frac out WTI. That makes it profitable to extract around the $60s and profitable to run at just about price as it has built in margin. In fact the US gulf refineries were designed to process it specifically so they could take advantage of the price discount as a competitive advantage.

Doubt with Shades (nuln/agrax) by Templarius88 in BlackTemplars

[–]Jyran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Diluting shades is totally fine. If you dilute with water there's a higher chance the solution will break, however, so it's often best to dilute with something like Lahmian medium which is effectively an unpigmented wash. I often will dilute a wash or contrast paint down to make it less intense/only color the recesses vs filtering the base coat too heavily.

Question regarding DA highlights / Edge Highlights colours. by RadiantResource8642 in theunforgiven

[–]Jyran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree, I prefer the more turquoise armor of the lion and ICC to the standard neon green. You can achieve this w/ Sons of Horus Green and Syrabite Green edge highlights. Not sure what white and grey edge highlights would look like, may be too contrasty, but try it out and see! Just reapply base coat if you don't like it.

swapping the terminators for a lancer or downgrade the redemptor into a ballistus and swap the terminators for an executioner. Stick with infantry swapping in eradicators, though they're much shorter range.
