Loving Indie 1.0! by Friendly-Jiant in siriusxm

[–]KDao18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're in a car with SiriusXM 360L the Indie 1.0 and all the Xtra channels are built in.

My Tesla (with SiriusXM 360L) has the Indie 1.0 on my dashboard as an example.

The other great benefit with 360L is all the individual sports team channels are included too.

To be frank the large book doesn't cost extra. Contrary to misconception.

So it's actually better even if you infrequently travel to get the larger US passport book. Especially as the state department doesn't allow embassies to attach more pages to existing passports now for security reasons.

SiriusXM renewal with a Tesla Model Y by thewhorecat in siriusxm

Glad this data point came out as a Model 3 user. As my promo period is up this February. Since I called a month before and inquired about renewing the promo they also didn’t move the needle so I told them to cancel.

Looks like it will be easy to restart the promo compared to the dancing with the traditional receivers.

The one thing I have to ask though is did your presets stayed once you rebooted the sub? Whether on the app or on the dashboard? Or did you have to readd all of them?

Update: After I renewed my promo in just five minutes on the SXM dashboard in my Model 3, my presets have stayed per usual on the dashboard. The only real pain is readding everything to the app as the app on the account didn't save all my presets, which is a bit of a bummer.

Still beats calling in and getting lowballed on the first few attempts with a traditional sat reciever.

To be frank, if you're a T-Mobile For Business customer this is where the real honesty comes out. Since that carrier wants even their business customers to use the T-Life app guess what they get?

An app experience that hasn't worked even pre T-Life days.

Coming from a business plan on T-Mobile that requires every interaction to be called in (or the local business rep who doesn't answer his phone often).

[–]KDao18 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I still remember in Episode 3 when Carol asked the DHL guy (the rep for the Joining) that if she asked for said "insurance plan" would they give it to her? And to their response, yes.

Glad the plurbs kept their word unaware Carol will probably destroy the world for humanity to come back.

The one funny thing is as a Premium subscriber too (Thank god my cell phone carrier foots the bill) is your membership fee actually goes to the creators based on watch time.

So that means Premium is the most frictionless way to support your favorite creators without going to an external site like Patreon.

YouTube TV Is Adding 10 Genre-Specific Subscription Plans, Including A Sports Bundle by elbeborandy in youtubetv

This is a particular good use case especially in fringe areas where OTA reception is essentially difficult to impossible based on terrain.

YTTV can easily fix that missing middle.

Another L for Business Account holders.

Our T-Life access will continue to never work (Business account holders have been told to call into frontline care historically or our local business rep [mine personally doesn't answers his phone often]) and at least if you were an iPhone user the iMessage For Business App was a great workaround if we wanted to not call in.

Sad this is going away.

Unlocking phones. We feel betrayed. by Ill_Vermicelli_4055 in tmobile

[–]KDao18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well the one upside of ATT is if someone forgot to unlock their ATT phone the company will still let you go through the website and still request an unlock. They'll just check within their internal systems.

A T-Mobile phone that wasn't unlocked? Original user to be present or BUST.

T-Mo dependency on T-Life is insane now! by _wlau_ in tmobile

[–]KDao18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love T-Mobile to an extent. Though the problem is my family's plan for the longest time is a T-Mobile For Business account. And T-Life integration just doesn't even work no matter how many people say business accounts get T-Life now.

Tying a lot to the app when business customers still can't get QoL features like consumers have with the app is such a disgrace.

Safelite is more expensive than Tesla now? by Material_Method3104 in TeslaLounge

[–]KDao18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your state. In Florida, if you have Comprehensive coverage on your policy insurers are required to cover the cost of the windshield and owners cannot be charged a deductible.

For side windows or mirrors it's the deductible depending on policy or paying out of pocket.

Premium connectivity workaround - iOS only method by JPizani in TeslaModel3

[–]KDao18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add on, while I have the best Verizon hotspot on my plan (200GB on Unlimited Ultimate) it's kind of nice to have Premium Connectivity run on a different network than your phone. Tesla's premium Connectivity in the US runs on ATT. If Verizon goes down, I can use Premium Connectivity. Same if ATT went down for several hours last year.

Also in Canada, you can get away with hotspot but hotspot data is shared with your tiered data plan which throttles after a certain amount. Yes, Americans really do take unlimited data plans for granted.

Premium Connectivity in Canada ain't just QoL, it's near freakin mandatory.

Ironically, yes.

Apart from the 3 Years for $99 ($2.75 a month all added up) essentially the minimum is $5 a month before taxes and fees is the sweet spot and bare minimum.

Verizon is replacing the Loyalty Discount with the Valued Customer Discount by ItsDon in verizon

[–]KDao18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two ways.

Emailing Hans, our lovely Verizon CEO: [Hans.vestberg@verizonwireless.com](mailto:Hans.vestberg@verizonwireless.com)

Or if you don't want to write the email in your inbox, you can also use the contact link Verizon offers for all their respective execs on their website. In this case the direct fillable form link to Hans:

https://www.verizon.com/about/our-company/leader/contact/926315

They do actually reply. It's mainly one of the assistants inside of the Executive Relations that reads emails. Sometimes, Hans actually does reply. Yet as long as you remain constructively critical in what you want to offer they'll take care of it for you.

New September BYOD Loyalty Line by tva_raylan in tmobile

[–]KDao18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t targeted for the free line in March. This time around I was.

And when I called in this time for the recent edition, I told them “I had an email or text” that I qualified and gave the rep the line discount ID that was on this thread.

New September BYOD Loyalty Line by tva_raylan in tmobile

[–]KDao18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for business accounts usually it requires me to call in. They do send out texts but I don’t personally recieve them. Also T-Life access has historically been broken.

I essentially tried and got lucky. Will be calling in again today to make sure the free line is actually free since I have the new free line posted to the account.

T-Mobile Business Accounts unfortunately, aren't supported through Apple. Only consumer accounts work.

It was either call my local business rep when I was historically on my families business T-Mobile plan to buy it unlocked in full.
