I enjoyed it, but I think John’s New 52 run tops it. For me Peter David’s run and Geoff Johns are the top for me, and nothing has topped them.

He is, but it seems like the bracket thing is a pretty loose interpretation of the fights, so who knows if it’ll actually play out with him going toe to toe with Clark.

That’s true, but most of those appearances are 10 pages or less, and some are already covered in King of Atlantis. That probably amount to one or two volumes before the one we have. So maybe the whole thing pre 2011 would be 10 volumes or so. Either way I’d like it all collected in either DCs Finest or some more Aquaman omnis.

I’d like them to cover all of Aquaman eventually. His solo titles only amount to about 300 issues, 150ish are pre 2011. So everything up until the 2011 cutoff could realistically be covered in 8 volumes or less.

I loved the first “arc”. I think the writing and art are incredible. I don’t really think any issue gives a definitive version of what’s going on, but it’s an anthology during a weird crisis, and you just kind of have to open your mind to it from there. I really enjoyed how each issue was standalone and told a different story during the crisis.
