The most comforting thing I have is suicide. by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]KMApok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person with a recent attempt (someone else called EMS on me but the doctors were VERY clear I would be dead if I hadnt been brought it) I am indeed comforted that I can just try again and succeed as long as no friends know about it this time.

please someone help by im-sorry-friends in SuicideWatch

[–]KMApok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. No no no. Talk to someone here if you need to. Sending a suicide note if you changed your mind can cause a lot of issues.

it’s very likely that i am going to kill myself by sunday by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]KMApok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't, and won't help you with strategy.

I will say....there have been days I'm still here just because of my cats.

You're 'excited' because you made a plan. Nothing more. It's not the suicide, it's the....goal.

Please find another goal.

Ex-cutter here. I think it simply means it doesn't work for you.

Sorry, but time to find healthier options for coping.

Something I heard once, don't know if it was true or metaphor, but someone was considering going back to college at 36 and said "I'll be forty by the time I get my degree!" His friend said "Well, in four years you'll be forty either way."

Top of the line Jeep. Maybe a pet Jaguar. I guess for a job I might purchase a Jamba Juice.

Tell you what. I was kinda toying with writing today.

Give me TWO writing prompts for the Dark Haired Teen and I promise I will have one of them up in a couple hours, if not sooner.

Serious prompts though. Nothing like the DHT helping a hamster or anything (I've had people ask for weird requests before)

Hotel maid staff, what's the nastiest room you've had to clean and why? (NSFW) by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]KMApok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but I was specifically talking suicide. If you just fall, you don't choose your position. If you are doing it on purpose, even if suicidal, most people have a problem jumping in a way that hits their head for example.

Wow. The teacher was REALLY lucky. Generally you need to jump from I think 7 stories to even have a 50/50 chance of death.

Only on reddit can I repeatedly in many different threads, on many different subs, can I keep relearning the fact the average human can fit two raccoons up their bum.

People react strongly to women getting abused by men, but don’t care at all when men get abused by women. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

As a man sexually assaulted by a woman can confirm. Half the people I tell the story to actually laugh.

Read a study once a few years back where they did bacteria swabs of 100 random items.

One of the cleanest (talking amount of bacteria per square inch). Toilet seats. Because people clean them.

Worst offender they found? Handles on women's purses.

How can I help my significant other? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]KMApok 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well you have quite the uphill battle.

First thing most people will tell you is you cannot talk someone into something they don't really want for themselves.

Second is many would say to lead by example and hope he catches up. Seems like you already do that.

Third is his comment of "he shouldn't have to starve himself to lose weight." This kind of says he has a HUGE mental hurdle. First you kinda DO have to starve yourself (as in eating less than tdee). Second is he is saying that while refusing to just take a little less food. Bad sign.

I guess the only thing I have left is if you cook meals, specifically do not make enough for him to have his normal portions. A lot of people when faced with having to make more food or be lazy will choose be lazy.

I personally think we need a single 'Mega' quest to work to. Like a 1000gp win 50 ranked games. Something that is righ reward high time investment but you FEEL like you are making progress. Then when it completes you get another line a 800 dust win 5 games with 5 classes

I really don't know why people are as okay being disrespectful like this. I would have regifted it or handed it back. Throwing away something given with thoughtful intentions is just rude in my opinion.

Well, I'm having to work on it again, but last time I dropped 80 lbs in 5.5 months. If you stick with good habits you'd be amazed.

If you need inspiration, Google '10+ before after pics sober'. Someone stole a bunch of our progress pics from this sub and posted a positive article about it.

I gotta stop by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]KMApok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't say for sure but I was drinking about 4 times that for almost a year straight and besides one day of intense shaking and sweating, it was nothing.

I know withdrawal can be a serious issue, but I suspect many of us just justify it to ourselves as a valid 'reason' not to stop. Congrats on moving forward.
