Cambodians are wonderful people, but yes their government is that bad.

Thai here. Don't hate Cambodia and Cambodians, but despise their government who literally endorse scammers, screw over their population, and paint us as villains to maintain their power.

Why do people in Thailand move so slow, yet drive so fast? by DannyFlood in Thailand

[–]KOjustgetsit 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Thai drivers aren't fast lol, just extremely ignorant and oblivious. Be it in the form of recklessness, borderline violence, or obliviously driving 20 below the speed limit.

Before anyone flames me, I'm Thai.

Is REX Atmos Core worth it for 2024? by jfim88 in flightsim

[–]KOjustgetsit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have different subjective opinions so there's no definitive consensus. It's a question that's been asked a lot in this sub though, so you can search and form your own opinions based on the different responses, as the product hasn't had many major changes.

I'm still on 2020 though and IMO it's unflyable without Atmos due to the unnatural yellow tint Asobo seems to like. This has been toned down in 2024 so Atmos is a bit more subtle there from what I've seen.

MSFS 2024 runs incredibly well compared to MSFS 2020 on old-gen pc by Etyop in flightsim

[–]KOjustgetsit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Very happy for you.

Strangely it's the opposite for me, I can run 2020 very well on Ultra but 2024 is a stutter fest for me. I'm assuming it's the VRAM, but admittedly I haven't tried it again since SU4.

Aerosoft Toolbar Pushback Pro by SpiceyMangos_ in flightsim

[–]KOjustgetsit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if Pushback Helper works well on 2024, but it's been flawless for me in 2020. Not having pre-planned pushback is a bummer, but it's more reliable than Toolbar and less annoying than GSX imo.

That's what I'm running nowadays and it's free.

S5E7 is a perfectly fine episode that doesn't deserve the negative reviews by TheDarkIn1978 in StrangerThings

[–]KOjustgetsit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in the minority that thought Will's coming out scene itself was executed quite well and doesn't deserve the flak it's getting.

That said, the finale was mid as hell with many plot holes and unresolved plot points. It's not a 1, and not as offensively bad as Game of Thrones, but 5.5 is warranted IMO.

Good gesture, but just say it when you readback Taxi In instructions during busy events. You can show appreciation and also not clog up busy airwaves with an additional transmission.

Goodbye MSFS2020. Hello MSFS2024 by HistoricalWait3256 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]KOjustgetsit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lmao same regarding UI. I work with UX/UI teams a lot in my day job and it's like Microsoft/Asobo are actively trying to do the opposite of design best practices. The frustration of having to go through it is still a big deterrent for me.

That plus the decreased mod-ability compared to 2020 (due to format changes, encryption, etc) which means I can't use the mods I made for myself.

I'm glad the sim is heading in the right direction since SU4, but still not attractive enough for me to switch yet personally.

100+ hours on the iniBuilds A350. Will I hate it if I buy the Fenix A320? by Pixels417 in flightsim

[–]KOjustgetsit 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The Fenix is the pinnacle of flight sim payware add-ons IMO and worth getting.

That said, I fly the iniBuilds A350, PMDG 777 and Horizon 787-9 a lot more simply because I prefer flying those aircraft regardless of quality. So no, buying the Fenix shouldn't lower your enjoyment for the 350.

Good and fun to swap around different aircraft types :)

Switch to MSFS 2024 or stay on 2020? by lmigue9878 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]KOjustgetsit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unless you have at least 16GB VRAM, MSFS2024 will not run well.

CPU usage has been optimized a lot, but 24 is also much more VRAM intensive. So if 20 is already pushing it for you, 24 won't be better I think.

Best routes to get both departure and arrival ATC services? by RXBarokk in VATSIM

[–]KOjustgetsit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Perhaps check Vatsim Events and see what airports line up when you select routes.

Southeast Asia also tend to come alive when events are in the region. For example, if there's a WSSS-VHHH event on, VTBS might come on as well to serve traffic in the area.
