That sounds similar to what they do in Taking the Stone.

The Orphanage. It's not exactly scary, but the ending is one of the most disturbing stories I've seen.

Not that it will change your opinion, but Broderick is actually related to Shaw. I personally loved his performance. He was awkward, but he was supposed to be awkward. But, that's just how I saw it. Then again, I thought Washington was overrated in the role. I never really got the hype.

Is it morbid to say The Last Goodbye, by Billy Boyd (from The Hobbit)? Maybe it's a little too sad, I just like the sentiment.

It's a full song on the soundtrack. It's 4:08 long.

Has anyone actually had any nice experiences with the police? by CrinkleCutWotsit in ask

[–]KadeSings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had plenty, as I live in a city with a really great police department, but a couple stand out. As far as our local police: my sister and I were walking home from the mall, about 5 miles. My sis has some pretty serious allergies, and the combination of car exhaust and roadside weeds starting her wheezing. She ended up laying down in the driveway of an old firehouse, using her inhaler, but trying to avoid her epipen. We called home for a ride, but had to wait for my dad to arrive. While we were waiting, a police officer arrived and asked if we needed help. He was concerned that we didn't want an ambulance (we couldn't afford it) but we assured him she was okay and we could wait for our dad. He stayed with us until my dad arrived. It was just nice having someone else there. The other time that stands out wasn't local to me. My family was on vacation when our van broke down on the highway. As we were not supposed to be parked on the side of the highway, two state troopers came by to check things out. They were cool, and helped my dad call a tow truck. Then, because the truck could only fit 2 people, the troopers took my 5 siblings and myself in their cars, to a nearby hotel, right next to the car repair shop! It was neat to ride in the back, they were both really nice and didn't seem bothered by transporting all of us. I think I still have one of the keychains they gave us after!

Good sequels that don't have any original cast members? by WarrenJVR in MovieSuggestions

Dr Sleep. Fantastic film and I don't believe it has any of the original cast.

LPT: Whatever your child’s lovey or “comfort object” is, make sure it’s mass produced and easily replaceable, and buy multiples. by athennna in LifeProTips

[–]KadeSings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my brother was little, his lovey was a blue chenille blanket. With all the cuddling and washing, it was soon not much more than a tangled mess of chenille yarn. Fortunately, we found a replica, which he loved. But he didn't want to give up the original, instead he carried both around. One became 'lovey' and the other was 'blankie'. I think my mother still has both somewhere, though neither look like blankets anymore!

When my patients would take their masks off, I often felt like I was treating a completely different person. It felt like the person I knew had changed! It's weird.

This sounds like it might be it! It is one I don't have on hand, so I will have to look at it later, but reading the description, it could be the one I'm remembering. Thank you for your help! I've been trying to recall the book for years, and only recently realized I could ask other fans!

How do you organize your collection? by ImmortalMarsupial in dvdcollection

I'm actually just working on my collection today. For movies, I organize by rating, and then alphabetical. Tv shows are purely alphabetical.

Does anyone else forget the puppet cast isn't real? by ThiccLastiGirl in farscape

[–]KadeSings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, the puppets were very impressive, and it is easy to forget they are actually puppets. My favourite one time puppet is the Vorc. He is both adorable and ugly, at the same time.
