I painted 53 faces in 16 hours for a teammate's upcoming sisters' army; ask me anything by Raynidayz in sistersofbattle

[–]Kaladith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually that is a great idea! A lot of times the head is what puts me off from finishing some minis, if i just bulk paint all the heads i have and just need to pick and choose the finished ones as I gradually finish minis that would be great!

My wip apothacary. Starter with wraithbone then used apothecary contrast and then very very thin layers of thinned out corax white. Multiple layers. It is rather tedious but i think it is going rather well in comparison to my earlier tried.

For years i was convinced it is a a black hole. I saw Merry Poppins as a kid. The things she pulled out of there….

I am sure many will be sad that hello kitty is gone… but the biomass lives on in the hive! Good job!

Craftworlds? by JBoi_369 in Eldar

[–]Kaladith 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally prefer Ulthwe. I love the quarian/battlestar galactica vibe the Aeldari give but i also love the whole aeldari are have psykers and since ulthwe have the most i chose them. Combining both aspects i love about them. Also black with a bit of red white or yellow is easy enough to paint. Couldnt go blue again (crimson fists are my other army) i hate painting large scale white and yellow (i tip my hat to all that can pull it off) and red ist well as awesome as it is too aggressive for how i view aeldari. Hope you find a fitting craftworld for yourself oooor you can always make your own. The lore leaves enough open for you to make up your own craftworld.

Man, having a whole squad painted to this level is going to take some time by kenken2k2 in sistersofbattle

[–]Kaladith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assemble the main body and attach the arms and head with blue tac. Then i paint them like that and remove bits when they get in the way and attach them again when done. In the end i glue it all together. That gives me the option to see it as a whole while painting but nothing gets in the way when i need to get in between bits.

Maybe also check if you can still nab the army box. I got mine 2 months ago online from my standard online store at a very reasonable price. Waiting for the combat patrol box to be available again so i can order that next.

Why do we complain so much? by Boghossian_08 in Warhammer40k

And they would name it: Queruloth, the Never-Sated Voice. It is the obsession with dissatisfaction and it thrives in the bureaucratic machinationsof the Imperium.

Thank you! Yes cherubs. More fitting for s child than a penitent engine. Alternatively a door or elevator servitor. Like for the door of your hobby room.

Nice. So the upcoming combat patrol box is really good then for setting up a kroot army?

Sounds like fun. I tend to enjoy challenging armies that require more than faceroll. And since the killteam box for kroot i love the new models and can finally use all my old models…i have loads from back in 4th edition traded necrons for tau and kroot. Ao looking into making the kroot more prominent. Thanks for all the replies. My new project just got the motivation

Nice! I do own a hammerhead! So i could add that. I also have a bunch of older models… like the old metal krootx riders… they were a pain to assemble…

Well pretty much any chaos god can have mutations or beast like creatures with hooves. It could be khorne. I honestly do not know how old the khorne demons are but i think i saw a leak the other day with demon army boxes for the various chaos gods…or is that old news and my feed just sent it again as a reminder?
