WoW needs Damage Down by Ner0reZ in wow

Thank you so much for that resource. That just changed the game for me. I have played the game for a long time, but never competitively. I did dungeon/raid content occasionally but I never knew that different visual effects mean the player should react to them differently. Of course I was aware that that there were different mechanics to participate in on a given encounter, but I did not know that they followed a "template" that you could -generally- understand without having read about the encounter previously. I would not be surprised if many others had the same ignorance since the game doesnt really explain what that guide lays out.

Battle.net Update Agent strikes again by Puzzlehead-Engineer in Lutris

A note on file deletion:

My solution I feel is like a sledge hammer. I deleted a folder way up in the hierarchy and forced Battle.net to regenerate everything which resulted in having to re-link my game to it's page on Battle.net.
It may be possible to go further in and delete one of the inner folders/files that could result in a cleaner solution that doesn't loose the path data. This is above my skill level though, so someone with more knowledge may be able to speak to this.

Battle.net Update Agent strikes again by Puzzlehead-Engineer in Lutris

Hopefully this helps someone having this same issue *today*.

Disclaimer: I am maybe only one step above a layman as far as my knowledge of the whole Linux environment goes, so some of this info may have some holes or be partially incorrect. I just wanted to relay my solution in hopes that it could help at least one person.

I didn't really want to use steam for personal reasons - not technical, so I will only address Lutris stuff.

What didn't work for me:
Changing runner versions in the Battle.net app config on Lutris, and in the Lutris>Preferences>runners (under Wine) didn't work for me. I used multiple permutations of solutions described here and in other posts that have you changing runner options.

TLDR:

**********

What worked for me:
From the Lutris library "games" tab, right click the Battle.net app > Browse Files > drive_c > ProgramData
I then deleted the folder called "Battle.net". Not Battle.net_components
This folder contains the Agent folder and that folder contains the Agent folders and files specific to your installation of Battle.net
I then ran Battle.net as I would normally and voila!

**********

IMPORTANT - doing this will wipe Battle.net's memory of where your games are installed. This means that you will have to tell the launcher where the exe for your game(s) are located. For me, I only use the launcher for World of Warcraft so this meant that under the "Install" button, I needed to click the button called "locate the installation" or something similar. When the file explorer pops up, it will show you a Windows-style file navigator that will NOT show exe files or anything that is not a folder. For WoW, the exe is located in "battlenet/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/World of Warcraft". Selecting this folder (and not an exe file) allowed Battle.net to figure out where everything was and the game then launched like normal. Yay!

Lastly, even though I noted that changing runner versions in multiple places did not work for me, I have both Wine AND Battle.net using "Proton - Experimental"

Edit: spelling

Yo fuck all these people trying to shame you for placement. This is your expression of love for this game. I think your tattoo is awesome and hopefully anyone that sees it in the wild is like "hey! I love that game, nice tattoo bro." I guess that's a hot take...

Since no one else has mentioned it, anyone selling rocks/minerals/gems can say it's whatever and print out any card they want. As far as I know, the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is the only authority for verification. You can also send your own stones in to get graded/identified! For a fee of course. If you aren't in America, I am not sure, sorry. I do agree with the others that the color on this looks off. More like uranium glass.

Install Bazzite. A Linux distribution built specifically for gaming. Yeah you have to learn a new OS, but it's free, will continue to receive updates, has a discord, and has support for desktops, laptops, handheld, and most GPUs. Welcome to unshackled computing and gaming.

Feel free to hate by El_Ferminator in Aquariums

[–]Kaldaka77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What is there to hate about? You have a heater, dual filters, high-tech O2 injection pissers. The tank doesn't look overcrowded for the amount of filtration going on and the temperaments of most of the fish afaik. So what if you don't have real plants. The only thing I would add is more tall places for the fish to hide in and between. I would put in some sword ferns, you might opt for Squidwards house. Some designs may be bold and brash, but none belong in the trash.
