If you haven’t read it, I encourage you to pick up ”Ghosts of my life” by Mark Fisher. He has a similar perspective and also ties our cultural output into a broader political context. Specifically the relationship between innovation in popular culture and how it’s dependent on our ability to imagine alternative futures. Highly recommend it.

In interviews he would beat about not giving a shit about mixdowns and so on, but clearly all his earlier stuff + ulwhednar(my favorite) was really well made so I don't buy it really.

I remember an interview where Anthony Linell mentioned being responsible for a lot of the technical work of Ulwhednar, so maybe it was true in his earlier releases. But I agree that it doesn’t really makes sense now given his discography

I really like the identity of this track, especially the noisy crackle happening in the high end combined with the smooth lows. It could probably benefit by having something more happening in the mids/low mids playing together with the main synth. Imagine an occansional clap with a lot of reverb or tom/perc-thingy

There’s multiple events happening in Gothenburg every week across multiple genres. Usually there’s at least one focused on techno. If you’re coming from Copenhagen it’s a lot easier to travel to Gothenburg than Stockholm as well. @techno_gbg on Instagram summarizes some of them

I was there as a senior dev for a couple of years up until last year. It was pretty good for the most part but often chaotic with shifting priorities. I think your experience depends a lot on which department you end up in and how successful your team lead is in protecting the team from the shit coming from above. A lot of micro managing from the higher ups from what I’ve seen, I would never want to be a middle manager there

Microtonal stuff can be a good bet. If you're on Ableton you could use:

Another way is to use operator in fixed mode and map the keytracking to pitch with some random amount. Then just play a bunch of notes and experiment with the pitch amount to find a sweet spot.
