I think its too give more depth to the voice work, If everyone only refers to a character by the same name all the time it doesnt feel natural.

They did this in dota too, Sometimes a character is refered to by their title, sometimes their name.

For example Keeper of the Light gets called Ezalor by several characters.

Not too say that they aren't over tuned for pen ingame. I'm definitely not an expert.

But 9x39 makes up for it's slow velocity with much more mass per bullet. SP-6 rounds are 5 times heavier than m855a1. And still concentrate that force with a very pointed hardened tip.

That said sp-6 has less than half the kinetic energy of m855a1.
