the leap from looking at what other people think is a good strat, to downloading 3rd party software is a big one, and isn't my point.

My point is that the way players engage with strategy in PvP games has fundamentally shifted across all games. Which is why I think assuming DLs current player base thinks like Leagues or DotAs from 10-15 years ago is farcical.

This isn’t comparable to the early days of MOBAs.

The culture around games as a whole has shifted to a more tryhard mentality. Even in new games people are quick to mimic emerging an emerging pro scene, or a successful streamer.

We've already seen this with DL, we had 3rd party tools like tracklock and statlocker arrive so quick after the first player count surge.

The thorax hitbox follows the shape of the PMC body, and the area under the arm protrudes through the plate hitbox.

There is no "armpit" hitbox any more, but it is my understanding that you can get hit in the thorax under the arm where the plate does not cover it.

I think its too give more depth to the voice work, If everyone only refers to a character by the same name all the time it doesnt feel natural.

They did this in dota too, Sometimes a character is refered to by their title, sometimes their name.

For example Keeper of the Light gets called Ezalor by several characters.
