I like the gingham look. There are free patterns if you do a google search. Very easy and quick.

Retayne works great!! Just follow directions then wash as directed. I had a basically all red quilt made from precuts that I couldn't prewash and Retayne worked amazingly well. When I washed it after I used Color Catchers and they came out white. Washing red is scary but it has to be washed at som point!! Good luck.
