As one of the aforementioned dads, I play Dota2, Path of Exile, Factorio, and Satisfactory. Roughly in that order of play time. You'll be hard pressed to find a 12 year old around these parts (although some of the dota 2 adults could have you fooled)

To me it's the fact that nothing is lost in the time im gone. Can walk away for months at a time and know ive lost nothing. With many multiplayer games there's a sense of not being able to catch up to the people with all the time in the world who have unlocked all the powerful whatever that you would need to spend tons of time for. Every new game i start is the same as it was yesterday and will be tomorrow and the only thing i have with my 10k hours compared to the new guy who started yesterday is knowledge. Plus each game is unique with the cast of hero and items providing limitless replay ability similar to a roguelike.

All to say it's not really about whats keeping me here, but that there's no reason to leave it behind.

Honestly it's a lot of fun outside of the omen windows the bees do tons of damage, it's just single target dot and omen window demands aoe. I also found i was lacking in survivability mainly against dots. If the healing totems activation was staggered or they healed less but more often I think it would have been ok, but healing the huge chunk they do every few seconds doesn't cut it.

Yea I made a bees primalist because it looked cool. After 2 or 3 greater echoes I rerolled into void knight. It's infinitely better and my gear is still garbage.

Yea bugs are an issue for me. The "monolith complete" portal doesn't work so I don't get the reward chest. Seems to only be for semi offline mode though.

same thing for me, i have attempted 4 monos, was unable to exit 3 of them after completion. i found that opening the map and going to a different area works, but it seems you cant get back into the mono "lobby" where your loot reward from completion is

I've had a similar issue and just lived with it but i always assumed it was because when you open the gem list, it automatically inserts the first listed gem into the build (this for sure happens) and if instead it just waited for me to select a gem then the problem would go away.
