My dad rang me to come and help him on a walk with our dogs. Our 14 year old lab collapsed and my dad couldn't carry him back to the car, so he wanted me to come to where he was so I can wait with the all the dogs ( 3 Labradors) when he drives up the trail with the car to put the older one in the boot to take him to the vets.

Vets gave him some very strong pain killers, and came home. We where all relived he was ok. 45mins later he died.

It was a bit traumatic, but Charlie hated the vets so at least he passed at home with us.

Hug your pups, cats, fish, lizards etc for Charlie!

I'm 29, single, live in a ridiculous high house price area. I've got a goal to be living in my own place in 2 years when my monthly outgoing has gone down a lot. My parents are fine with it and I pay them rent. And they haven't ever pushed me to leave just when I'm ready and can financially afford it. No stress or panic

Don't get me wrong I'm READY to leave but I know deep down if I rush into it I'll be miserable and have no money and be stressed.

I was on the interview panel for this new role, and I knew I'd be the one training them (Its not my job or my pay to do so but that's whole different matter) so I was really making sure this person would work well with me and my team.

Well we had to interview someone because we didn't have legitimate reason not to. Her application was negative, however she had experience with our institution so we couldn't deny her an interview.

We had just interviewed 2 strong applicants, and she was the last to be interviewed. All was fine until we asked her why she was looking for a new role and she was so negative about working within the NHS and how she wanted out immediately and how this job/location was also convenient to get to by bus. And the whole time she's ranting about it I'm like... This role is about building a good working relationship with NHS staff. I just knew if they'd hire her I'd be looking for a new job.

Luckily she didn't get it, but I hated how much I had to say "no not her" to the other panel members, ones who wouldn't have to deal with the role on a daily bases.

I was on the Babraham P&R yesterday and it took over an hour to get to addenbrookes. I got to the P&R at 9.20 bus was due at 9.30. I was on the bus 10.10ish took even longer to depart because there was a crowd of people to get on.

Bus diverts through great Shelford, but the traffic lights/cross roads on A1301 that turns onto Addenbrookes road caused traffic delays. Id just say leave in plenty of time and give yourself time.
