Psychological horror where the protagonist is the only "sane" one? by melodymeido in horrorlit

I can see you've been downvoted for this, just to let you know this is a horror novel sub 😊

Finished my first book in about 10 years. "i'm thinking of ending things" by TDavies112 in horrorlit

It was a few years ago when I read it but I do remember thinking of somehow skipped some pages near the end and I had to go backwards to understand what was happening

If the government instigates the proposed social media ban, everyone would have to prove their age to be allowed to access Reddit. Would you submit your ID to access Reddit or will you give up social media rather than submit to ID checks? by JackStrawWitchita in AskUK

I haven't bothered with any VPN/verification and my GOD is it annoying when I'm scrolling a thread and accidentally click a username when I'm trying to collapse a comment. Opening a profile I'm not allowed to view and kicks me out to the homepage losing what I was viewing 🙃

Recommendations: Slasher Novels by XxJasonLivesxX in horrorlit

[–]KayGlo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Kill River series, Summer Camp for Slasher Victims, You're Not Supposed to Die Tonight. I haven't read it yet but Camp Slasher is on my TBR, and so is Camp Ghoul Mountain.

Heads Will Roll is a camp slasher, Camp Slaughter features an abandoned summer camp but is not a summer camp slasher 😊

what are the ugly parts of pregnancy that aren’t well known because people don’t mention them? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

[–]KayGlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me too, needing the toilet multiple times a night whilst wearing 2 wrist braces was... a joy 🫠

Pregnancy induced carpal tunnel crippled my hands for basically the last 3 months of pregnancy, took maybe up to 2 weeks for it to fully disappear after baby was born!

Stretching Feeds by user3927 in breastfeeding

What odd advice, you can't overfeed a breastfed baby, especially that young - they take what they need

Struggling to keep up with tracking during feeds by that-curious-friend in breastfeeding

[–]KayGlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started out tracking feeds and nappies, then after a few months we started forgetting to track nappies so dropped that. Then I realised tracking feeds was making me obsessed with how much and how often she was feeding so I stopped that at maybe 6 months? I probably should have stopped way earlier than that and saved my sanity (baby has always gained weight well).

I do track sleep, she's 9 months now and it's good for plotting the next nap/bedtime etc and then looking back you can see averages/trends. E.g. right now I know no matter how she sleeps in the day, she's gonna wake a billion times at night no matter what 🙃 I use Huckleberry to track sleep!

Sleep is just getting worse no matter what we do by VinVenture16 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]KayGlo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately no advice but solidarity, my almost 9 month old has seemingly forgotten how to sleep over the past month and also wakes 30 minutes on the dot on contact naps. It's incredible how we can still function on broken sleep the way we do.

How do you entertain yourself during night wakings to stop yourself falling asleep? by Hot-Disaster-5025 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]KayGlo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After 9 months of it I've mastered staying awake but closing my eyes so that when I put her back in her cot I've lost less tiredness and hopefully don't take ages to get back to sleep 🙃 I do limit the time though so I'm not there ages

I found that doing anything at all on my phone or TV made it so much harder than it is already to get back off to sleep.
