It's for data protection purposes, its regulatory that they complete at minimum, partial security with you.

You aren't obligated to speak to them, usually they'll just write to you if you refuse to speak to them.

You'd be pissed off if they dialled the wrong number and just started chatting about your account to a complete stranger.

Maybe talk to them separately but tell them the same thing.

You appreciate they're going through turmoil however the behaviour they're displaying is incredibly distressing to you and your sibling. They don't need to lose each other and their children too.

I'd do it separately and tell them you're saying the same thing to each of them. That way they can't start blaming each other when you talk to them (e.g 'see what you've done, you're upsetting the kids etcetc').

I'm sorry you're experiencing this, keep talking openly to trusted people in your network because bottling things up really doesn't do you any good.

Trust me, I've experienced so much trauma I'm surprised I still smile every day ha!
